Room: Decoration was good, but carpets looked very tired and require replacing immediately. The undersink cupboard door was off the hinge. We did not receive hot water on the shower. The water was lukewarm. Staff: The Check-in was smooth and the assistance helped me to pay the parking fee. Gym: we did not use it. Breakfast. This was NOT very pleasant. By the time we went at 9am, most things were gone and aad not stock. There were not enough items in the hot containers and we were not informed that they could make to order.

Nice convenient grand hotel which has seen better days. Quite charming. Breakfast was adequate but of a let down. Location of the hotel is extremely convenient as we were attending a gig at Bradford Live venue. Nearby Oub the Drumwiinder was a blast on Saturday night with heart pouring karaoke. Overall I recommend this hotel is worth the price. Room was nice with large bathroom and bathtub.

Great building, location and staff. “Executive” room (402) was on 4th floor, lift only goes to 3rd floor. On arrival on 4th floor, no corridor lighting so had to use light on phone to see room number. Room was especially small; same applies to 409, others on floor significantly larger. On escape plan, bathroom was bigger than bedroom. There was a bad smell of drains in corridor and in room. Windows were wide open on arrival. After closing, smell in bathroom became apparent. Bathroom door would not shut. Bedroom window did not shut properly leading to draughty and excessive wind noise. TV worked but had tape around edges. Desk area for fridge had no fridge. The smell and window were mentioned to staff at checkout. Would suggest asking hotel to not put you in rooms 402 or 409

The room was great, we were upgraded following a misunderstanding but the staff were very helpful and they made sure we were comfortable. Really enjoyed my time there just hope that the lift is fixed by the time I visit again

Staff were very helpful and kind to accommodate my auntie who has a knee problem by bringing her from the second floor to the first floor. However, I do wish that they have a working lift.

Lift is still broken after 6 months, no WiFi in room so had to move. Unable to reach reception without walking down. Have to pay for parking now which isn’t secure.

The check-in process was very long winded. No computerised system, hand writing down the hotels.com itinerary reference and taking too long to confirm the booking. Although not an issue for us, the elevator was out of service so the stairs were the only way up to the rooms. Overall the room was comfortable if a little dated. The staff were friendly and welcoming but it would be nice to have an early check-in option, even for an additional charge.

Large room in great period hotel. Terrible check-in with a strict 3pm start resulting in long queues. Bed was not level to the floor and wall had prominent hand marks. Bathroom was good and clean. No lift and a good three floor stair experience. Good location for city centre

A mixed bag really! Pros: A lovely old building, reasonable sized rooms, cream (but a little shabby). Great shower with good water pressure, friendly staff. Breakfast had good bacon and good baked beans (not watery rubbish ones!) Cons: Lift was broken so if you are on the 4th floor it’s pretty much 100 steps to climb up and down. Only 1 teabag in the teatray. Remote control was missing from the room completely. Coffee at breakfast literally the worst I’ve ever had and that’s saying something. Lack of breakfast items despite being an hour before breakfast was due to end. The temperature in the breakfast room was sooooo warm! Overall it was ok, I booked it because for once, it came out cheaper than the nearby Premier Inn. I know where I’ll be staying next time I’m in the area though.
