The staff was great and the property is very clean, but be warned it's old and clearly was a formerly smoking hotel. The linens are quite threadbare and the rooms (including the AC/heating unit) have an unmistakable smoke smell. There's very little in the area (we were there because we just needed a place to grab a few hours of sleep on a road trip) and the motel certainly tries. But if you're at all sensitive to smoke this is not the place for you.

First time staying in Norwich. It was a bit old. Blankets were stained, cigarette burns in it. Pot smell in the hallways. Clerk was VERY nice and friendly when we got in though which was after midnight! Have stayed at the Super 8 in Oneonta and that was is much nicer.

The staff gave it 5 stars.

Check-in was easy, the receptionist was very friendly. Our room had a heavy smell of mold, the building appeared in need of an upgrade. But overall we were satisfied it was just an overnight stay

You get what you pay for but having other guests screaming obscenities at midnight through paper-thing walls was not part of the experience i was expecting. Also had to kill a spider that was in my bed.

Someone had to reset our tv. Our safe was locked. The front desk people were wonderful. There was an odd odor to the room also. Bed was pretty lumpy

Terrible experience, got eaten alive every night, not sure what type of bugs, most likely NOSEEUM bugs. I couldn't see anything under the sheets but woke up throughout the night itching, large welts, just Terrible. When I complained at the front desk, they didn’t seem to care. Even showing them the bites....

I didn’t like the fact that they allow people to do drugs and have other people staying be creepy to other people and the over night staff is worthlessness and I didn’t even get my breakfast or have creamer for my coffee in the mornings

The room reeked of cat urine…to the point we had to leave and stay at another hotel

I guess you get what you pay for, staff was very nice and helpful when I needed help with TV, checking in and out. The place smelled horribly of weed, despite numerous postings of penalties for smoking around the premises There was no elevator and we were given a 3 rd floor room Carpets were old and dirty I can’t say enough good things about the staff, the place needs a renovation But for the price at was ok and we slept well

Walls too thin, Toilet didn't work, Window AC went on every 15 mins, Breakfasr was Coffee,Apple Jce and Granola Bar-No Cereal, Toast. Powered Creamer

I have stayed at this location three or four times prior to this one. The quality has gone down. My first assigned room was not clean and had a broken lock and the entire hotel had an odor. I was assisted by being reassigned to a new room that was in much better condition. I did freeze all night, as I could not find a thermostat and then the next morning as I was leaving, noticed a "heat" button on the AC unit in the wall, so that would have been helpful to know so I didn't wake up cold all night long. The first woman who assisted me with a new room didn't even apologize for the condition of the initial room, but the man at checkout was very apologetic for the experience and I appreciated the acknowledgment. I was able to get refunded for the second night that I chose not to stay and was appreciate of that as well.

I was assigned a room clearly designated for a disabled guest, specially designed bathroom fixtures, etc. I'm not disabled and did not request. Also, blanket on bed too thin; nightlight in bathroom had no buld and hair dryer didnt work

The clerk at night was not friendly at all or maybe had bad night
