The location is good for the sandy beach. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. An excellent breakfast was included. We were allowed to check in very early and check out an hour late.

Hotel Bristol is an excellent hotel if you want to be near the beach in about 15 minutes away from the cruise port in Chioggia. Hotel staff are very polite and thorough.

Perfect position for walking into Chioggia and the bus station is just down the road for those that want to go further afield. The beach is just over the road if you want that too.

Sottomarina di Chioga was the starting point of a bicycling trip the length of Italy. There are some nice bike trails and biking options near the hotel.

We asked and paid for a room with a balcony and a sea view. We did get both but the balcony was apx 1m x1m and there was only room for one person. ( to stand on it). The sea was there if you could stretch your neck out far enough to see it. Our only view was a housing block. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable and close to the beach. However, don't expect to use your hairdryer because the electricity trips out if you do, leaving you in complete darkness. Very annoying. Breakfast was OK. The staff were very Unfriendly unless you were a local. The beach was extremely crowded and full of men selling things, ( jewelry, food, umbrellas, scarfs, toys, sunglasses, hand bags, gadgets etc, etc) no peace and quiet or relaxation available i'm afraid.

Friendly reception who helped us with the boat trip to Venice and how to get to the old part of the city. The booked "sea view" was available from the tiny balcony when turning to the side. The hotel, however, is located close to the beach. It has ha nice pool and comfortable lounge area.

Evrything was good with one exception. The publicity says this hotel has a pool. Which it does. Where it is not clear is that the pool is paying. €5.00 a time per person per day. I objected but was told by the pool attendant that the pool was run by a separate orga bisatiion from the hotel. I also said half of the pool facilities (jacuzzi, etc) did not work. he gave me a 50% reduction. The breakfast were sumptuos by Italian standards. Parking was good and the staff excellent.

Our room was on the 4th floor with a view of the sea. Not the biggest room in the world but perfectly adequate. A balcony just big enough for two. A reserved space on the beach with free loungers and shade. The beach service guys will show you where and set it up for you. Make sure you get a receipt from the hotel and exchange it in the beach kiosk. Breakfast was OK. I never left hungry although I am really British about eating continental breakfasts - toast and jam for me lol. I did enjoy the fresh fruit and the croissants as well. The coffee was incredible. Our bathroom was really clean and plenty big enough. The shower was hot and powerful. The staff were all very friendly but this seems to be a holiday destination for Italians. Not too many people from elsewhere and I didn't here English being spoken by anyone other than than us and one American family. This wasn't a problem at all even though not too many of the staff could speak English too well. Between our bad Italian, their bad English, hand signs, writing and a few laughs we managed to sort things out every time.
