Great hotel stayed there a few times but this time the bathtub was in terrible condition would not use it/the shower and bathroom sink was clogged

Old facilitilites and antiquated tub and A/c system, very unfriendly front desk staff. Room was clean otherwise but noisy a/c set at weird settings. Did not use tub/shower as surface was all uneven and patched up. Not worth the dollars I spent here.

The hotel is deffinitely older and it had a bit of a musty smell. Yes, it was convenient to the Indianapolois shuttle service, but I would recomment if you're visiting Purdue to choose one of the hotels that are actross the river less than a mile away.

Easy to access

Have stayed at the hotel throughout kids college careers. It's beginning to show it's age. Wear and tear on hallway walls (looked water damaged), carpets and room walls with small holes.

My room was not in great shape (cracked, peeling tub; poor water pressure; poor shower flow) and did not seem particularly clean (stained towels, crumpled sheets on the bed). They were booked so I couldn't change rooms. The entire place felt shabby and run down. I doubt I'd stay again for the price.

This Holiday Inn has an excellent location in downtown Lafayette, about five minutes from the Purdue campus and within easy walking distance of several great restaurants. I’ve stayed here several times and every time I hope that IHG will finally invest some money in these rooms before I come back; unfortunately they never do. There was mold in the shower, just like there always is, and the seal on the window was broken so moisture between the panes obscures the view-third time that’s happened. The sink didn’t drain properly and there was eye make-up on the white bedspread. It was also weirdly humid in the room so everything felt damp. This property could be a true gem thanks to its location, but no one will ever be satisfied when paying over $200/night for a room like this. I hate having to say this but I just can’t recommend it, especially at this price.

Nice hotel and helpful staff but the first room I was given had not been cleaned properly. Poor start to the stay.

Quiet area and spacious rooms.

Not a bad hotel. Nice lobby area. The bedroom was nice and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a little weird and outdated. There was some hair in the shower. Very convenient to Purdue.

Dirty rooms, rude desk staff, cold breakfast, every mug at the breakfast buffet was filthy… will never stay again.

We were only there for one evening. But our stay was very nice. The hotel is really nice, and our room was excellent

Everything was great except parking was not enough

The facility was so clean and everyone was so friendly! Would absolutely stay again.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. We were in a room right by the elevators. The first night was fine, but the second night had a group that was screaming and laughing at 11pm right outside the elevator, so we could hear everything. The room next door to us had people jumping on the beds and knocking into the shared wall. The room was overall clean, except the bath tub was very old and had brown stains all over it as well as hair from previous people stuck to the walls. I paid for breakfast for two mornings when booking. The first morning had limited food and the coffee and other drinks ran out early. The second morning, even though several signs say that breakfast is open from 7a-10a, was closed when we went down to eat. The person at the front desk just said “they didn’t open breakfast this morning” and then ducked his head down and wouldn’t acknowledge us anymore. You have to PAY for breakfast and they didn’t open or even acknowledge why. Overall very disappointing and I wouldn’t stay here again.

The walk-in showers in the king bedrooms are gross — multiple, substantial blackened areas of caulk along the joins and corner areas. Management has been saying for 2.5 years that they will address the problem (search the old Expedia reviews using the keyword "shower" and you'll see what I mean). But they have neither fixed the problem nor replaced the showers units. The situation is completely unworthy of Holiday Inn.

On a positive note, I stayed here the first night and my room was fine. BUT.... 2nd night I had a different room, the room was set on 52 degrees and it was 60 degrees in the room. The light in the restroom was like a strobe light. I told the front desk we had issues and that we were headed to dinner and could they take a look. She said yes they would check it out. After dinner we came back and room was still freezing, luckily we had socks and sweatshirts to sleep in. The room never warmed up even though I adjusted the thermostat on the wall up to 80 degrees! They never came to room and even looked at the light in the bathroom. Luckily I was driving home and just wearing a hat, there was no way to get ready in the bathroom and fix your hair or do makeup. I told the gentlemen at the desk the next morning there were issues with the room and that I had spoken with the young lady at the desk the night before and she said they would be fixed but that no one had came. He looked up at me (from his phone he was on at the time) and told me "there were no maintenance men" and acted like I was an idiot for even thinking it would be fixed. No apologies at all from the staff for the cruddy room experience...Kinda a bummer as I stay there often since my daughters are in college there. I also typically love the Holiday Inn express, so I was pretty disappointed :(
