The hotel is in a lovely location which is very close to the local town. Access to local buses is also very close by. The pool/bar area is excellent with beautiful views of the island. The rooms are nice but a little dated. Hotel staff were excellent as they couldn't do enough for you.

I was there for 3 days/2 nights. The early check-in was amazing. The breakfast was a good spread with one spoilt for choice between the cold and the cooked. The layout of the hotel was great and the staff - the staff!! kudos !! my one "did not like" was that laundry was expensive - like stupendously expensive. Take your iron !

We usually go self catering when travelling to Greece but thought we would give this hotel a try. It is our fourth trip to Santorini the first in 1987, so we have seen many changes in the island. This is a first class hotel. We were on the second floor and we could see quite a lot of the island. The pool was good and bigger than we had expected. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing. The diversity of choice incredible. A very big thank you to Mike, Riccardo, Julia and George for making our stay extra special and being so attentive. They patrolled the pool area making sure we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely go back to this hotel in the future. Highly recommended

We absolutely loved our stay here. We rented an ATV to drive around the island however we did spent every afternoon at the pool (which is amazing by the way). The staff was phenomenal and we couldn’t recommend staying here more!

Most people might say that this hotel is a little outdated, but it is exactly what I expected for a Greek Island vacation. Super clean, very comfortable, and an Amazing view!! The entire staff was super friendly and courteous, especially Adriana at the front desk. The pool was very well kept and a huge highlight for our 7 and 5 year old boys.

There were issues at another hotel so we booked this one last minute and we’re so happy we did. The staff are so nice and kind, everyone went above and beyond to help us and ensure we had a good time. Breakfast was great, we had a beautiful view of the island. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location. Away from the crowds at Fira and Oia, but with some great restaurants in walking distance, as well as the beautiful view from one of the castles on the island.

We really enjoyed our stay. Short walk to Pygros. We had a rental car so was not an issue to enjoy the other more touristy spots on the island. The property itself was very nice and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

This hotel and its staff were a key part of our trip to Greece. Sergio, Chris, Ana, Zoe, Georgina and Mike were some of the most genuine people we met on the island and went out of their way to introduce us to Greece. We can’t recommend them enough!

1. View: the only place you can watch sunset - as they advertise - is in the public pool area, certainly not from the private villa we rented. 2. Amenities: extremely rudimentary. There is no paper product available except toilet paper - no paper towel, no tissue paper or note paper. The wooden stair to the upper floor is narrow and steep and at the top landing, the ceiling is low. It hits the head. There is no shower curtain. The toilet floor is flooded as a result. 3. Staff: the lone female front desk staff "C", and the single male staff "I" were stoic. "I" took the luggage to the villa and handed over the key - with no explanation of the facilities. He tried turning on the pool night but it remained dark throughout our 7-day stay. 4. There is no cook/chef available at breakfast - the only time "the restaurant" served food. The few item of "hot foods" were pre-cooked. The 2 young attendants in the restaurant also served as cleaners and porters. 5. Overcharge: I booked a villa with a private pool, but the receptionist "I" gave us a shared pool. When the neighbours checked out the next day. Both "C" and "I" said that the neighouring unit would be vacant for 3 days. It was. At check-out, I was charged extra Euro 150 per day - total of Euro 450 - without being forewarned and agreed to!

We were not sure we would like this hotel when we realized it was not in Fira, but then we checked out Pyrgos and fell in love with everything. We opted for a room with a private pool even though the pool for all guests is beautiful. We had a great breakfast each day, and the server, who is also the bartender was amazing. She even made the chocolate cake served with breakfast. Yes, chocolate cake. Served for breakfast. We will definitely stay again .

We booked two superior room with sea view. we arrived and they wanted to give of two different rooms. They said that they were given us upgraded rooms. I went to see them and they were not. I asked for the rooms that we booked. the staff told if you don't like them go to another hotel. it was midnight because the Athens airport was closed for many hours. after lot of disscusions they gave us different rooms but still i am sure they were not at the level we booked. Still they printed the receipt with the name of Superior rooms. the next day the staff blamed Expedia for what happened. On top of that the fridge in the room was not working at all. i reported to 2 staff in the front desk which told it will be fixed. they did not. The breakfast was good. I felt that we paid for something that we did not received. I am almost sure that they rented the 2 rooms to other people event hought i called from Athens to confirm our arrival. what made me felt bad was they were trying all the time to convince us that they were given betters rooms. We paid lot of money for two rooms for 2 days and we felt that this hotel took advantage of us.

The hotel is beautiful, and it has a great breakfast (free). We stayed four nights. Christina and Elias had great suggestions for dinner, lunch and places to visit. They were always patient with my questions and were able to help us with airport transfer, and set us up with a rental car. I cannot say enough about the hotel, the location, Pyrgos is beautiful, and the staff. Would love to go back very soon and stay at Orizontes!
