Great place and room but be warned the hallway is very loud if anyone is in there

We love the restaurant, pool, and hot tub. Clean, quiet, lovely spaces.

Pool had major dirt piles in it and hot tub had a weird smell.

The beds where hard as a rock and the room had ants under the sink and the carpet was a little dirty the cleaning staff needs to do a better job clean up.

We received a remodeled room, which was very nice and clean. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Nice updated hotel

Staff was great - restaurant was really good, had walleye fish and chips, really good. This is a hotel/motel, they are redoing it, but it's still a dressed up motel. Had a room on the inside that had a useless sliding glass door into a meeting room where there was a very loud meeting going on the whole first day when I really needed a nap. There aren't a lot of choices in Pierre so...

We had a horrible first night the beds were broken and the mattress was sunk in, there was mold above the window and holes in the headboard. They did move us to a better room the next day. No compensation for our problems at all. Will not stay here again.

Hotel was in the process of remodeling - this was not shared with us when we checked in. The room we were in was still in the remodeling process. Check in was perfunctory; not welcoming.

They are renovating but I didn’t mind. New rooms are great!

The room was clean comfortable and smelled good

It was being renovated and hotel as a whole was a mess and hard to get around in the hotel. Continental breakfast was pretty bad. I can see maybe doing one part of the hotel to fix but the whole hotel was being worked on. I know for sure I would have not stayed there and should have been made aware by someone that it was a mess

We booked our room through a third party app & were told our stay was all paid for, but when we went to check out there was an additional fee charged to us. Upon inquiring at the front desk they informed us that they charge that extra fee to everyone. This was not disclosed during booking. The TV in the room didn't work & there was hardly any toilet paper. The hotel staff did remedy both of those issues. A continental breakfast was offered, however, they closed it an hour before the posted time. On a positive note, the hotel had just undergone renovations so the rooms looked nice & updated.

Property did not disclose renovations were happening Toilets, sinks, and construction equipment all throughout the lobby and hall ways. Checked into my room, bed was dirty, and tv didn’t work. Moved to another room which was slightly cleaner.

Our room was not very clean. There was a shred of bubble wrap on the floor and the bathroom had about 8 strands of hair on the ground.

Area under construction with debris everywhere

Absolutely terrible! The hotel is under construction and we stayed room with a hallway full of debris and our room was full of drywall dust. The door had so much drywall caked on it that we could barely open it. Our first room had blood on the sheets and the our second room had a dirty bathroom and there was hair on the pillow case and sheets. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money we paid.

I wanted to pay cash and Ramkota doesn't except cash, so I had to go get a cash card. This caused us to be late to an event. Also it was noisy in the morning and doors slamming

Currently being remodeled in some areas

I’ve stayed at the Ramona on trips through South Dakota for 22 years because I travel with my dog. Since my las stay they’ve moved the rooms for people with dogs to the very furthest point away from the grassy area to walk them. I arrived late but in the wee hours of the morning following an 11 hour drive and had to argue with management to be allowed to check-in befor 3pm, even though I was already being charged. The room was in horrible condition, filthy and torn carpet, broken outdoor doorway seal that fell and flapped every time I opened and closed the door. Hopefully I will never stay there again.
