Room was exceptionally clean and had three large fans which was nice in this heatwave. The building is old, so signs of age are accepted. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, but the shower curtain smelt awful-even though it looked clean. Had no time to request staff to change it, but it wouldn’t put me off staying there again. Great location

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms do not have air conditioning, were generally not very clean and my room had ants

I really liked this hotel. It's what I would call a hidden gem, because I had no idea it was there. The building is clean, housekeeping is spot on, the staff are attentive, and able to offer advice on almost everything. The bar had a lovely atmosphere and the lounge had the largest TV on planet Earth. Breakfast was the best I'd had in any hotel. It's a 2 minute walk from the tube station, and close to all amenities. Just outside the tube station are a number of street food vendors, which looked and smell amazing. Go ahead and book, you won't be disappointed.

Great location. Technically clean but the sheets were stained and the soap dispensers were empty. The key kept being deactivated if it was anywhere near a phone, so had to keep going back to reception. Had to change room as first room (on ground floor) was really noisy all night. When I politely asked if they could not make so much noise outside my door, an off duty staff member was needlessly rude. In the second room, the extra door lock was really stiff and it took several minutes of trying to open it, which would be dangerous in a fire.

Maria was the BEST!!! She was so kind, helpful and even remembered it was my birthday, wishing me a happy one on my way to see Harry Styles. The hotel was well maintained, room was a decent size, especially for London and in a perfect location. Just a short walk to the tube, it was a easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. There was an e-bike parking area right at the corner which was also super helpful. I went to see Harry at Wembley and it was 7 stops away but also managed to go to the London Zoo, took a Fat Tire bike tour, Abby Road, Highgate Cemetary and Camden Market (a must!!). I would definitely stay here again if I visit London again in the future!!!

I booked a 4-night stay, assuming that because Swiss Cottage is a Best Western property, it would have standard American amenities like air conditioning. My assumption was wrong. I learned that local owners pay a fee to use the global brand name and booking system, but they retain control over the property itself. Swiss Cottage did not have A/C, and the temperature outside was 30-35°C. The hotel is located in a charming historical building, but these buildings were designed with thick brick walls to trap heat during the winter. This means they become incredibly warm during the summer months with nowhere for the heat to escape. It was impossible to stay in the room, so I booked another hotel and moved. The reception staff were incredibly nice and understanding, and they refunded the cost of my stay. They were struggling with the heat immensely themselves but remained pleasant and kind, which I very much appreciated.

Love this hotel and the staff is very friendly. It’s a little bit of a tough place to stay when there is a heatwave (no air con) but we LOVE the location (next to the park which has a fountain for kids to run in, a football pitch and the tube station). We will be back.

We stayed here last night and will definitely return to this Best Western. Ian at the reception is extremely customer focused and made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely room and when we asked for ice we were given it straight away. The location is excellent for both getting to and from Wembley stadium and into the city. It’s one stop on the Lioness line to Euston. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants on the nearby High Street. Thank you Ian for making our stay so comfortable. Overall 5/5 rating.

Didn’t like the creaky floorboards in the bedroom. Breakfast didn’t seem very organised needed extra staff to cope, didn’t even have marmalade.

Don't be fooled by the fact that this is a Best Western, it has a lot of London charm! It is clearly an older inn; very cute with winding halls and antique furniture. The rooms are small but cozy, with windows that open and very nice bathrooms. The elevator was broken during our stay, but the front desk was (mostly) helpful with our bags. The lounge/restaurant is run by one bar tender guy who was not the friendliest or the speediest, so I'd recommend going out somewhere instead. Half of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the other half made me feel like a nuisance. We were told we could order in and eat it in the common room between the lobby and the lounge, but then were reprimanded by the bar tender guy who said it was a restaurant and we couldn't. Very inconsistent and confusing. And when your "restaurant" only has a few things on the menu, one of which they are "out" of and then serves me a 2-years expired coke, I think I'll take my takeout, thank you.
