Hotel Fridhemsgaten & Mora were a big disappointment after traveling extensively through Scandinavia during the month of July. I discovered that the electronic lock to our room did not work leaving our belongings exposed. We had to change rooms. Coincidentally, a man was sitting in our room when we first checked in? Then the TV would only broadcast a TV channel for about 5 minutes and shut off. They could not fix it. Dining in Mora is pathetic and despite many articles, there are very few local craft stores. In fact, many store fronts were empty. The only reason for staying in Mora is close proximity to Nusnäs and sadly, there is controversy in Nusnäs, where the Nils Olsson Dala Horse company is now using robots to carve the horses. Thankfully, the competition, Grannas Olsson is still carving by hand. The Swedish government needs to intervene in the setbacks in this region of Sweden.

Very friendly & helpful staff, clean & attractive room and an excellent breakfast buffet with a wide array of options and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The room was charming and comfortable. The lounge areas around the hotel are very welcoming. We loved sitting out on thé terrasse. Breakfast was above and beyond excellent in both quality and variety. This hotel is tops!

Small, but tidy room with some effort in making it specially welcoming with a cute Dalahäst waiting on the bed. TV is good with casting, nice quiet room - nothing special, but worth the price. Very friendly check-in and good service. Nice, simple, breakfast. It is a small, but cozy, hotel that can be recommended for a night or two. Smack in the middle of everything, and an amazing restaurant (Heim) just around the corner.

Excellent breakfast buffé, very friendly and attentive staff that refilled any missing food I tem on request and a good location with free parking and free access to a gym made this a great weekend stay. We were a bit disappointed that the room was not cleaned when we stayed two nights (bed was not even made), and that there was no information that the restaurant was closed for dinner and no recommendations where to eat instead.

This was my second stay at Hotell Fridhemsgatan. I was visiting Mora again for the Siljan Runt bike event and once again the hotel was very welcoming, letting us keep the bikes in the room overnight. The room is very comfortable and nicely decorated using the theme of the local dalarna horses. Breakfast was great & plentiful.

The hotel is close to the city center, and provides access to a well equipped fitness center. Breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly and very service minded. I have stayed here before, and will most likely choose to stay here again, should I come back to Mora.

Good location. Easy walk to lake and pedestrian area, restaurants and shopping. Bright and pretty. Good parking. But the curtains did not cover the windows onto a busy street, the staff failed to make up the room, even though the sign on the door asking for service was displayed, and the access to the sauna was terrible — it required getting a key from reception and then actually walking through the men’s locker room. Overall a pleasant place with earnest staff, but some big glitches.

Superbra frukost. Lokala råvaror, hemgjorda marmelader, fanrastiskt bröd, ljuvlig omelett... Middagen var enkel, fanns endast en rätt, men välsmakande. Sängen var ok men lite "svampig" i sidorna. Bra kuddar.
