Hotel Staff is amazing! They go out of their way to provide excellent service to everyone. The pools are very clean and kid friendly; the beach is beautiful.

Too crowded because of the bar and casino

The best thing is the pool, drinks are awful in general even non alcoholic drinks.Buffet is eatable but not great, the food at the other restaurants are good and not reservation required.

The hotel is very old and smell humid. Beds are old and hard if you are lucky to get a bed. Bathroom are disgusting and in very bad conditions. Nothing is like what they show you. I was even afraid to sleep in the bed cause of their smelly linens. Air conditioning sounds like they are about to break. This hotel doesn't deserve not even one start. The worse hotel I've been in Dominican Republic.

I love the hospitality of the staff and how well kept the resort is at all times, that’s why I always come back here..

I had a nice time and enjoyed the pool, and food.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. This resort was a huge disappointment from start to finish. I have been there many times years ago, but things have changed for the worse. Everything feels old and outdated, from the rooms to the common areas. Basic things didn’t work properly, fans, old lounge chairs, etc maintenance was clearly lacking. The food was terrible. Very few options, and what was available was bland, repetitive, and low quality. Drinks were just as bad, frozen drinks were not frozen, they tasted watered down, artificial tasting, and honestly almost undrinkable. As for the service, it was shockingly poor. Staff seemed disinterested, unhelpful. We had to haunt them down to even get water. There was no sense of hospitality, which made the experience even worse. This place desperately needs a full renovation and serious management changes. Definitely not worth the price. I won’t be returning and can’t recommend it to anyone.

Marien puerro plata is a very good all inclusive resort. Its convinient for people with mobility issues. We made friendship with the animation guy Hello kiddie Miao miao. animation

Not a new guest to Marien but this trip was a terrible experience, I even checked out one day in advance due to many issues. The resort at first glance looks fine but everything needs better maintenance. There are water damage on the walls, water leaks in the hall and bathroom, toilet back in up when you flush, bed harder than a rock. Internet sucks but in the rooms there is just zero internet. Food was ok but drinks were terrible. Never mind trying to get e refund.

Very old fashion room. They charged me like a 4 start resort. Food was not good. Room dirty. Too expensive for what they charged me
