Enjoyed our quick stay at the Helmhaus Hotel. Service was excellent with a friendly staff. Location was great being within the Oldtown and close to shops and restaurants. The room was very well decorated with beautiful art in our room and throughout the hotel. Breakfast was exquisite and they made the best flat white to start our day. Our five year old also enjoyed the activity book, coloring pencils and slippers. Hotel provided us with towels and water for our day swimming at the local river and pool. Wonderful stay and highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel.

Great location!

Staff was extremely helpful with everything. Hotel is very clean and well kept. We stayed 4 nights and had a comfortable stay. The only negative I can think of is if you are super tall like my husbsnd he barely fit in the tub. Hotel is in a great central location and close walking to a lot of restaurants, shops,cafes.

The room was great and the staff was even better. We left a shirt there by mistake and they even saved it for us so we could retrieve - they know the area v well and they have a great collection of reading material about the area that you can browse. The location can’t be beat also. Everything about this place is top notch, highly recommend for a long or short stay in Zurich.

I booked this place because of high review score and positive reviews, the staff are all VERY nice, hotel is in a perfect location. BUT, I didn’t realize this was more of a converted house than a hotel. You are given an actual key on a keychain for door entry. This could be a problem if multiple people need access to the room at different times, and its not as small/convenient as a key card. The walls are THIN! Some guests on the floor above us were loud, stomping, and doing acrobatics late at night and early in the morning. It was loud enough to keep you awake and/or wake you up. I actually complained and felt a little brushed off when the lady at the front desk told me the building is old, floor is thin, and tried to convince me the guests weren’t doing extra. Just then another couple came down and reiterated the exact same story I gave. Overall it was a nice stay, but personally, I would stay somewhere with more of an upscale hotel vibe next time. Especially for the cost.

I stay here often for work and this time I got an upgrade and a nice note with some chocolate - very nice little touch. The room was perfect, spacious with desk for work and great amenities. Will stay here again nice time I am in town
