Nice

Beautiful spot if you book one of the rooms overlooking the ocean. Very nice walk on the promenade and you can walk down some steps to access the beach.

The room and view were amazing. We got a room with a fireplace. The room had a little kitchen and a sitting area. There was a small table in the kitchen and a sink along with a microwave and small refrigerator.

Room was very clean. Bed was so comfortable. I fell asleep fast.

Plenty of parking. Our partial ocean view has the bed facing the patio and the rear garden, and you can see the ocean and sunset. Great view. Fire pits are very nice in the rear garden, great place to gather and hangout at night. AC is quiet and works very well. Bedroom is comfortable. On-site dining is closed, but the two hotels next door have full restaurants that is within walking distance. Has nearby beach access which is awesome. The bed is comfortable and water pressure is good. The furniture however appears a bit aged, especially the sofa in the room. It was also rather dimly lit, there's a backlight in the bathroom mirror but the light is weak so it's a bit hard for my wife to do her makeup. A floor lamp also has burned out fluorescent bulb when we checked in, but staff soon came to replace the bulb with LED. Sound insulation is ok, you can hear someone talking in the hallway or passing by, which is typical. There's no breakfast or anything, but the lobby does have coffee, tea and hot water throughout the day and night. There's also a small pool and spa in the parking lot, with no view of the ocean which is a shame. Overall a decent hotel

Loved the fire pit

This was a wonderful getaway for me and my girlfriend. The perfect area with plenty of privacy and not so much hustle and bustle. Will definitely be coming back.

Our room got double booked so as it got later got got comfy and someone almost came in and saw us in our comfy state. My husband ran to the door so he didn’t get to come in all the way. So this was not a great experience but everything else was fine and clean and comfortable

Always a good stay

Hotel was clean and very friendly staff. Had no breakfast or restaurant, but was right off the 101 hwy. Had no bars or hooks to hang up towels. Liked that they had beach towels for use.

Close to trail. Pool and spa was good for kids.

I highly recommend staying at the Spyglass Inn. The location on the cliffs above Pismo Beach provides stunning views of the coastline. There are 3 firepits where you can enjoy a bottle of wine or smores while enjoying the view. There is a walkway along the cliffs that provides access to several other nice hotels. Those hotels seem to have more amenities but are also more expensive. At the north end of the walkway is a stairway that takes you down to a large secluded beach. During low tide we saw lots of wildlife in the tidepools. If you can splurge for ocean view, you will not be disappointed. The partial view is also nice. You can also save your $$ with a no view room and walk 1 minute to the large grassy area to enjoy the view. The pool and hot tub were also nice. The room and beds were comfortable. The lobby is small but has a fire place, coffee/ tea/ water, and some board games. The DePalo Market is next door and has a wonderful selection of gourmet foods, wines and great deli and bakery. We bought our food here and enjoyed it at the firepits.

Beautiful room with an awesome view of the ocean. Helpful staff and friendly. The grounds well kept. Looking forward to my next stay.

The location is pure perfection! We loved sitting by the fire ring and relaxing in the hot tub. Our favorite was walking along the shore.
