Great staff--they do everything they can to insure a great stay. Loaned us umbrellas, beach stuff, a shopping cart--plus lots of ideas on what to do. It is far enough away from the waterfront to be quieter, but just down the street from a major mall and an easy walk to the waterfront or there is a busline a block away.It is NOT the "Ritz"--but had a great pool that was empty most of the time and felt much more personal than a chain hotel.

Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Unit was ideal and we were able to walk to everything we wanted. Can recommend City Terraces as a great place to stay.

Loved our stay, friendly staff, clean and very comfy. Wished it was a little closer to the esplanade as it was about 1 km away, good 20-25 mins walk.

City terraces has a lot to offer and is a good value. Central location makes walking to beach, restaurants, and shopping easy. The manager is friendly and goes out of his way to be helpful. Upkeep and deep cleaning (bathroom tile, grout, and exhaust vents), could be improved. The lack of a firm smoking policy meant I couldn't always use my balcony due to smokers outside. Overall I would stay here again because it has so much to offer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good and handy to shops. The only downside was the bathroom needed a good clean.

Need some renovations. Also, in the room the furnitures are very basic. The swimming pool is good. Clean.

The room had a funny smell but we bought a freshener and it was fine. I love the fact they have proper washing powder and family size shampoo etc. There were a lot of convenient inclusions in the cupboards. Rooms are large and clean and very comfortable. Reception staff very helpful.

The room we had wasn’t clean, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, cockroaches roamed freely throughout every night and appeared to be mid maintenance with a leaking air con in the main living area (which also didn’t work in bedrooms) tiles missing from bathroom walls and check in was not clear or helpful at all.. sorry end of rant

We had a great stay, the manager was outstanding and assisted when needed as well, the location was wonderful. All tour bookings could be done through the hotel which was seamless and the tours were great. A few areas of concern were the weekly cleaning was not great as the floors were still quite dirty and the bathroom toiletries were not restocked. As well there is no safe in the unit which can be a bit disconcerting.

Walkable to Esplanade, Cairns central mall and Reef fleet center, good value for money.

Stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The reception was friendly and quick. The room was very spacious and clean, with everything you need to eat in if you prefer. We had a room on the third floor, which was very quiet, with an outlook over the pool. The area is very limited for eating out options, but the main shopping area is only a block away for supplies. We would definitely recommend if it is a quieter area that you prefer and you have transport to drive to the main entertainment area. loved our saty and would stay again.

The owners were very friendly and helpfull. Our room was clean, big and had everything we needed. Loved the sharing cupboard were you could leave items that you didn't need anymore like food or toiletreies for other travelers to take. There are two big groceries within a 10 minutes walk in a big shopping centre. The Esplanade ( restaurants, the lagoon) is 15 to 20 minutes walk.

Very well set up for families, amazing pool, quiet and clean rooms. Fantastic location close to Cairns Central and shops, restaurants, etc. Managers were very helpful. Love the fact that they also have an environmentally friendly policy to minimise waste. The ‘sharing cupboard’ was ace, and we took and shared multiple items during our week long stay.
