I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for a number of nights and it was great. A nicely appointed and spacious room and bathroom with underfloor heating. You could open the window which was pleasant, and the soundproofing between rooms seemed very good. There was the national strike on at the time of my stay, so can't comment on daily housekeeping but would assume it'd be good based on the rest of the hotel. The location is super handy as CC Hamar is just across the road, there is few coffee for guests in the lobby, and a short stroll to the train station and central Hamar and the wonderful lakeside walks. Definitely recommend and all the staff, despite the national strike, were lovely and helpful.

Relaxed atmosphere but welcoming and helpful. Everything you could ask for or think about.

Room was spacious and clean . Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good . Lovely hotel and lots of space to read a book. Internet good. It was close to city centre and train station.

The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. I could chalk this up to the standoff-ish Norwegian personality, but even so, they should think about how they treat guests from outside Norway.

the location is great near shopping centre and walkable to the main town by the waterside. staff are friendly and helpful. breakfast was excellent too. downside was room lacks of basic facilities like kettle and no telephone to contact reception if you need something. also no free park on site but was easy enough to park and pay. good for an overnight stay.

Very expensive bar price. 156 nok for a 33cl beer ! Top b/fast.

Hotel is quite new and always very clean. Staff is amazing and very polite. Just a couple of things I faced: 1. The rooms are tiny and have little to no amenities (not even a phone to call reception) and 2.The front desk person didn't want to exchange USD for local currency with no reasonable explanation. This was very inconvenient and disappointing.

Lovely stay! Missed having a fridge & a safe in the room. No tea & coffee in the room only in reception area but have had these in previous Scandic hotels. Room very clean & breakfast good.

Helt greit hotell som ligger sentralt i Hamar. Litt amputert frokost p.g.a streik!

Flott hotell, brs plassert, gode parkeringsmuligheter

Fikk vannlekkasje på rommet og tilbud om å bytte rom. Nye rommet var av betraktelig lavere standard, og frokosten var meget stusselig. Skjønner den er rammet grunnet streik, men tørre og harde rundstykker kunne vært unngått, samt at grønnsakene var dvassene.

Frokost til 10.00 i helg er litt gnient. Ellers fint
