The location, property, service, food and staff were superb. However our room had several issues. We arrived at midnight and the water was not running. So we could not even flush the toilet. They sent a plumber who told us the water was shut off due to some maintenance. While this is not Unreasonable, they should have let us know as soon as we checked in or give us another room that worked properly.

For the past 5 years my wife and I have stayed st this location at least 2 times a year as we travel between Houston and Puerto Escondido Mexico. It is a delightful experience.

The rooms are dated but the overall experience of staying at such a wonderful property makes the experience worthwhile. Everyone should stay here at least once.

Great property!!

I arrived 2 hours before check in time, the room WAS READY, but I had to pay of I wanted to take the room early.

It was really bad. The place was dirty and old, and there were cockroaches (photo attached). I tried to cancel my stay, but I spoke to the front desk, and they told me that Expedia would have to contact the hotel. I contacted the Expedia helpline, and they told me they had tried to contact the hotel, but there was no answer. The front desk staff showed very little interest on helping me they were just indifferent.

I love the hotel

The property was beautiful. It definitely resembled an old school hacienda. The restaurant staff was so friendly and the food was amazing. Our courtyard room had a door that went straight into the courtyard and the peacocks in the area were gorgeous to look at.

Nice classic-mexican hotel right next to the highway, very convenient and close to many popular destinations. The gardens are very pretty and so is the lobby, rooms are a bit simple and a bit outdated but clean and the staff is very nice
