It was our first time in White Rock and the Ocean Promonade Hotel was fantastic! The location is perfect for walking and going over to the water, lots of places to eat, also all walking distance, the rooms are very spacious, cozy and clean, nicely updated, equip anything you might need and the views are amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating, parking was super easy and cheap in comparison to most hotels. We felt very safe here. The only thing I will say, it's not a brand new property therefore does NOT have soundproof rooms even though that is one of the features it boasts. You can hear your neighbors around you, not so much you can't sleep but enough that if loud enough it can wake you up. However, that did not hinder our stay at all, we will definitely be back! This was a perfect anniversary trip thanks to our stay!

A pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable for a short stay. Overall, the room was clean, but the coffee machine and the tea/coffee supplies tray were another matter. I am not sure if something had leaked but it’s never a good sign to see discoloured sticky liquid in the tray (and no it was not coffee or tea). Staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal with views of the ocean, but with close proximity to the train tracks, it can get very noisy. Something to note, the layout of the rooms is a little odd, especially the balconies. My room had access to a balcony but it was right in front of the large window of the adjacent room. This did make me a little uncomfortable to use the balcony as it wasn’t a private balcony for either myself or the guests in the adjacent room, so it was a shame that I could not enjoy the beautiful views from outside.

Cool little hotel with clean rooms. Super close to every good restaurant in White Rock, right on the water. One slightly odd feature was the some of the rooms directly overlook the patios of the adjacent room (like literally right outside the window). Great stay overall!

Love the cleanliness and excellent service. Room size is very big with full suite facilities with balcony. Kitchenette with full size fridge.

OMG! We booked kind suite and expect a bit of extra space! Could stay here for a week! Full kitchen and a fantastic balcony view! We LOVE this place! First time here in 45 years and we had a great time!

Great hotel, great location. Parking underground is expensive ($30 per day including tax) and spaces are very tight to get into. If your driving a full size pickup, good luck

Great location and great room overlooking the waterfront. We walked the boardwalk and also the storefronts. Room was clean, and we were able to get parking in the underground garage, though I understand that might be limited.

We were forced to upgrade and pay an additional $90 plus taxes a night as the room we had booked had been smoked urn. We were shown 4 rooms and only one of them was suitable in light of allergy induced asthma. Staff were polite and accommodating, but when your forced to pay an extra $100 a night that you weren’t counting due to no fault of your own, it doesn’t leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. The suite we stayed in was great. It was clean and had clearly been newly renovated. We recommend that particular room but perhaps not the hotel itself.
