Amazing service and very helpful staff.

Pathetic service. Bed bugs in the bed. They gave me a room in the cellar. Carpet hasn't been cleaned in years. I got bitten by these bed bugs in room 79. They should be still there. Don't ever stay at this hotel you will regret it!!!!

Every staff member at this property was great! Especially the room service staff who went out of their way to accommodate. The location is very central, and also very safe. Would definitely recommend this property!

For the price, the property and rooms were excellent. Historic, large property. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice, especially in the restaurant, where food was also very good.

Great stay, the hotel is perfectly located between Central Jo'Burg and downtown. Staff were very friendly. Food was great, nice big portions. Communication regarding airport transfers could be improved. There was a confusion as to whether the hotel had shuttle transfer or not. Ended up getting an Uber.

It is located in a beautiful old mansion house. The neighborhood is quiet and nice.

Staffs kept this property clean and safe. The laundry service could be a little better.

The hotel meet my expectations the cleanliness and service. Every employee I had contact with with was outstanding. Million the front desk clerk was always smiling and ready to be of service. The only negative issue a had was with my room location. The rooms is the area of the bar / lounge and outside smoking area should be avoid due to the late night and early morning visits by guests. I would suggest getting a room on the backside of the hotel and away from the elevators to avoid the noise. I would most definitely stay here again.PS: the breakfast buffet was cheaper at the property than on-line.

Friendly staff, excellent food options in the hotel, close proximity to the city center, all of these contributed to a wonderful stay. The hotel room carpet felt a little bit dirty but that's my only real concern for an otherwise quality hotel.

I travelled with my family to Johannesburg in July 2023. We had a wonderful experience during our stay at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Sunnyside. The staff was friendly and always ready to assist, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel's location was conveniently situated for tour pickups and in a safe area, making it easy for us to explore the city. Moreover, we thoroughly enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant; the food was absolutely delicious. We had the buffet for breakfast and dinner, but a la carte options were also available. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant and satisfying stay.

This is a gracious old hotel. The staff are very accommodating and the meals were excellent. We loved our stay. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with towering trees.

It was really awesome, good hotel, good staff, good service. From my arrival at OR Tambo airport to the hotel , everything was great. Thank you so much

Very welcoming

Wow it was excellent. Friendly staff ,clean rooms .Dinner and breakfast was awesome, very yummy. Restaurant very cosy ,indeed we enjoyed our stay. Hope to come back in future

I booked a king size bed but i was given a twin bed. The air con did not work all night. Service was quite disappointing
