Excellent staff. I’m very happy with the service. I would stay again.

It’s not worth the money that I paid for my advice do not purchase breakfast option I don’t know about you but it’s not worth it you can have breakfast outside the hotel for better price. Rooms are not clean . Poor customer service I traveled a lot to multiple countries and many hotels usually I always go back to the hotel I got great customer service but this one 1st and last .

It’s a great location to be close to the beach and explore the rest of the city still. The amenities are all nice too. They have a better than avg gym space for those looking to stay active. I’d stay here again in Barcelona.

The staff was great! The rooms were clean and housekeeping was very polite and friendly! The beach was right outside our hotel not even 5 minute walk! I would definitely recommend to friends and family!!

The hospitality was excellent

From start to finish our time at this hotel was perfect . Checkin was easy , the man behind reception wish my partner happy birthday and offered a drink . We also had 2 bookings which were combined into 1 we got to stay in our sea view room for all 3 nights and it was perfect , a generous size room, which came with toiletries /amenities which included the following: shaving kit, toothbrush and toothpaste , cotton pads and buds , shower cap , sewing kit and shoe polish ! Breakfast was wonderful! The first morning we came down and staff wished my partner happy birthday, during breakfast they came out with a beautiful dessert with a candle on 😍 a lovely touch ! The omlette station was fantastic , the chef was so so friendly! Great selection of hot /cold food pastries ! There was also cava available so I made myself a Cava Mimosa! Coffee was nice and also available to take out ! The pool area was lovely and relaxing , we hired a double bed for €20 euros but the normal sun loungers are free. The bar food and drinks outstanding Location for us was brilliant, the beach was a few minutes walk away and personally a gorgeous walk to Barcelona, so many restaurants on the strip ! The metro station selva de mar is just a 10 min walk , take the underground L4 yellow line trinitat nova direction getting off at passeig de gracia for central barcelona.. I would 100% return to this hotel , the staff were the nicest staff I've ever had at hotel and it was so clean. Thank you !

I upgraded to a sea view room which was beautiful, the first room we was in was a garden view and looked like it was for a person that needed help with mobility. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool area was beautiful and the pool was really good for cooling down. The breakfast was amazing and so much choice , the position was lovely and quiet and next to the open top roof bus stop which is really handy for getting about. Would definitely visit again

Everything was very good

I am giving this hotel a 5-star rating although there is one thing I didn't like, the Tub/Shower combination. The glass partition to keep the water in the tub was too short and close to the shower head. So when taking a shower, a lot of water ended up on the floor outside the tub, and the small floor towel was not big enough to keep it dry. I ended up using one of the larger towels, and that took care of the issue. Other than that, this is a very nice hotel, and it's very clean. The pool deck area was also really nice.

Excellent boutique-feeling hotel, with simple rooms but nice touches, like champagne upon welcome and bottled water in the room. Second level roof top pool was small but large patio area and bar. Staff were excellent and thoughtful. Could have used tissue in the room and better coffee in the room except instant. Also could have used a coffee bar in the lobby for guests not wanting the buffet breakfast. But these are small things and do not detract from neat, clean rooms and excellent location in quiet area of Barcelona a short walk to the beachfront, approx 30 min walk to the marina and less than four blocks to the metro station.

We had a wonderful stay at Occidental Atenea Mar. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The gym and rooftop pool area were great. The breakfast buffet was excellent and they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The location was excellent for us, about a block from the beach and quieter than the more central parts of Barcelona. Despite not being in the city center, it was still very easy to get to the main attractions, with bus stops and metros a short walk away. It was also pretty easy to get a taxi right from the hotel. Overall, we cannot recommend this place enough and hope to come back soon!!
