We stayed at Hotel Avra for one night after visiting Crete and before catching our flight home. It was the perfect choice for a convenient and comfortable stay. The transportation service was excellent and right on time, making our transfer to and from the airport completely stress-free. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing night before our flight. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. Their professionalism and willingness to assist made the experience even better. If you're looking for a convenient hotel near the airport with reliable transportation, comfortable rooms, and excellent service, I would definitely recommend Hotel Avra.

Great stay! Staff was polite and helpful! Room was great. Shuttle to and from airport was appreciated. I just didn't realize how far it is from the airport (about 30 minutes, by shuttle)..They helped arrange for a driver to take me to Plaka in Athens, for some shopping, which was terrific.

A modern seaside hotel with excellent views. The free shuttle service made this the perfect hotel to stay on our last night in Athens area. They provide live tracking of the shuttle which is the best way to see where the shuttle is. Hotel and staff were excellent.

The room was clean and within walking distance from the beach. They had airport shuttle, which worked out well for us.

Well . Here is my review … the staff was not friendly but extremely cold . Perhaps they need a few more classes on hospitality. The food was great at the restaurant and that staff should be at the front desk. Rooms super small and the view in my room was underwhelming but they have rooms with breath taking views.. but never got the opportunity to be offered by the front desk. Just both the front desk representative was cold , they matched the weather

Recently stayed at Avra Hotel a few times, and they never fail to impress me. This stay was no exception. We arrived early, and the front desk lady kindly offered us early check-in for 30 euros before the normal 3 PM check-in time. After such a long flight, that was a huge help and allowed us to get some good rest before continuing to explore the nearby restaurants and cafés. This time we booked a sea view room and truly enjoyed the amazing view of the sea and the busy ferry port. During the two days we stayed, the weather was windy and very cold, so having the sea view room made the stay much more enjoyable compared to a city view room. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast offered by the hotel, and the on-site restaurant served amazing food with excellent service throughout our stay. The hotel does offer airport pickup service, although finding the pickup location at the airport was a bit confusing because there was no clear sign showing where to meet them. However, transportation from the hotel back to the airport was very easy, and the hotel arranged everything smoothly for us. Overall, another wonderful stay, and I would definitely return again

Fabulous location.Wonderful view across to other islands and enjoyed watching the ferries coming to and fro. Sea view room was amazing.

The boardwalk along the hotel was great. Authentic Greek food, several fresh fish markets, bars. We loved walking along, sampling interesting foods. The hotel staff was especially attentive, making sure we were scheduled for the free shuttle to the airport at 3:00am. Our room had a sweet little balcony that overlooked the boardwalk. Our room was scrupulously clean.

The breakfast was buffet only for 10EU, since we did not want a big breakfast, we had to go elsewhere. There really wasn't very much available nearby though.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Avra! Our sea view room was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the ocean view and sea breeze was such a relaxing experience. One of our favorite parts was how convenient everything was. We walked down to the nearby beach area where there was a great beach bar serving food and drinks right to the lounge chairs under the palapas. The atmosphere was amazing, the ocean views were stunning, and even the beach facilities and toilets were very clean and well maintained. The included breakfast the next morning was excellent with plenty of delicious options, and the airport shuttle was incredibly convenient after a long flight. The location of the hotel is perfect — the nearby restaurant area along the water has absolutely incredible views and fantastic food. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations. Beautiful views, comfortable rooms, wonderful service, great food, and an unbeatable location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Avra to anyone visiting the Athens/Rafina area!

Convenient Location, but Significant Room and Service Issues Rating: 2/5 Stars I chose this hotel for a quick overnight stay due to its proximity to the Athens airport and the provided shuttle service, which was the most functional part of the stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience left much to be desired. The Room: The accommodations were very basic, but the main issue was the lack of climate control. The air conditioning did not work well, leaving the room uncomfortably warm. Because there were no screens on the balcony sliding doors, opening them for air resulted in getting a significant amount of mosquito bites throughout the night. The Bathroom: The bathroom layout was a major "disaster." It features an open-concept shower right next to the toilet without proper drainage or a barrier. Water ended up everywhere, making it nearly impossible to use the bathroom later without using our limited supply of towels just to dry the floor. Service: First impressions matter, and unfortunately, the staff member at the front desk during check-in was quite cold and off-putting Verdict: While the shuttle and location are helpful for a flight, the lack of basic comfort and the poor bathroom design made for a frustrating stay. I would likely look for other options in the area next time.
