The great place to stay will definitely return

The room was not cleaned in many areas. There was some type of residue on the bathroom counter and the shower was disgusting. Ther was red stains that looks like blood, dirt and hair in the crevices. When i approached the front desk about another room or to have housekeeping come back and clean, i was told there were no other rooms nor was housekeeping available. The front desk clerk offered to come to the room and clean but it was just another surface wipe thag didnt change much. The room had badic amentities but was muggy. Unfortunately I give 1/5 stars. I will never stay here again

Overall the stay was great! It was conveniently located minutes from NRG which allowed for ease of access. The only thing I would suggest are some upgrades to the room. The shower didn’t have anywhere to put your soap or shower gel so we had to use the floor. There wasn’t an ironing board, but we had an iron. If it weren’t for those items, it would have gotten 5 stars.

I had a weird interaction with the boy at the front desk where he told me I couldnt get an extra towel and it had to be a “replacement towel”??? He eventually did give me the extra towel though. Other than that this place is cute and convenient for events at NRG.

This was a nice stay. I love the unique vibe here. The breakfast was pretty decent, there was sausage, eggs, biscuits, fruit cups, yogurt, cinnamon buns, etc. And the location is good. My only issue was with the bathroom. Our shower door was off track so it was a struggle opening and closing. There was no lid on the toilet, so toilet germs are just flying around when you flush. And there was absolutely no where to put your shower items. No rack, no soap dish, nothing. We had to put our stuff on the shower floor, yuck. Its the little things for me! I could have gave a 5 if it wasnt for those things. Overall though a decent stay.

Stay here just for one night. Staff was friendly, the ambience of the hotel was great, the bar was a bit pricey, and the breakfast needed for variety. However the overall experience was great.

Clean hotel and great location

Nowhere on their website or on hotels.com did it state that to check in one must be 21. I booked this hotel for my 19 year old and her friend because the site said “adults 18+.” The manager let them stay but only because they had nowhere else to go and were so far from home. Almost ruined a fun birthday trip because of misinformation on these sites.

The hotel is artsy and the people are really nice. Very cozy experience, highly recommend :)

Hotel was super close to NRG stadium, loved that for the Morgan Wallen concert they had transportation to the event! If I ever go back to Houston, definitely would consider staying here again.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had the best sleep ever on the extremely comfortable mattress and heavenly pillows. We were impressed by the extra care free options for visitors who were there for medical treatments at the hospital complex. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Houston.

A fun and welcoming environment as a whole. Everyone we met were all pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is so nice. The decor is beautiful and flows from space to space. Breakfast was fantastic. Everything was hot and fresh. We would absolutely stay here again. A very unique place to stay.

No hot water in shower

The lady at check-in was very nice even after dealing with a very rude customer right before helping me. She explained breakfast times, bar hours, and gave me information about the shuttle service. Hotel was very clean. Darrell, the shuttle driver was very nice and got us to and from our event at the NRG pretty quickly. We enjoyed our stay.

I came to Houston for a medical procedure/surgery. Upon check-in the receptionist kindly gave me a room on the first floor for ease of access. The room was clean. It seemed like it was being renovated and a couple things weren’t completely done. I’m a contractor by trade and noticed a loose and missing tile by the tub, a missing strike plate(where the deadbolt laches) on the room door, and a missing threshold under the door(should seal for fire safety). That didn’t affect my stay any, but others would appreciate those details being complete. It would make the stay feel a little more like “home.” The parking lot was well lit and felt secure. Overall, the breakfast was good, the staff was kind, and the bed was comfortable. Hotel Ylem made for a good stay.

Very cute, boutique hotel! Love that they help transport free hospital patients. Free coffee and tea all day! The third floor has higher ceilings - prettier! Yay! 1. The smoking area is right outside the front door. 2. If someone parks near the front, even temporarily, it is difficult to navigate around (on foot or in vehicle). 3. I asked for another roll of TP (no spare in the bathroom) and they asked for my room number. Am I trying to steal thin, cheap TP? 4. Fruit went from real fruit on the first day to sugary fruit cups on the next. Asking the attendant for more was a stern, "No more." 5. Love that they have hot breakfast items, but the heating container was NOT conducive to using tongs. Plus, they put the metal spoon for the gravy right below the heating element so VERY HOT to get a scoop of gravy. 6. Love the late checkout time, but my key was disabled at least 30 min prior to checkout so I could not get back into my room after I went into the car. Had to go back to down the desk to ask to be allowed back inside to gather the rest of my belongings.
