Good ocean view

I told front desk at check in I was disab to ed with a cardiac condition and she put on the 2nd floor on z dirty shabby room with only stair access, no king bed as advertised as bed advertised and old linens with holes in carpet. Awful.

Very nice stay! Clean, and staff was very nice! Beautiful views too

Loved the location and the customer service. Great views from the balcony.

The room was spacious with a large bathroom and balcony. They only clean rooms every 3 days unless requested. Some staff were wonderful. The cafe staff was very slow. Never checkedon us forgot request items. Breakfast and coffee were both cold. They provided 10$ coupon for cafe and restaurant. We only tried once. The towels were small and thin.

This is in a beautiful location and the staff were awesome - felt like there was some small issues (no housekeeping even with a four night stay without any extra toiletries being provided - we had to ask) and a couple of things in our room that probably should have been repaired but weren't. However, again, the location is fantastic and the staff were great.

Lovely property in a wonderful location overlooking the bay of the pretty town of Hilo. One call walk out of the hotel and stroll around the beautiful park and the waterfront. Front office staff were very helpful and friendly. Great to have free parking.

When i checked in the girl said your room is right around corner and pointed. When i went right around the corner there was a staircase leading to the 2nd floor. We are in our mid/ late 60s we had 2 bags that weighed close to 50 pounds. We looked around for elevator which was across lobby in opposite direction. Got on elevator but elevators dont go to 2nd floor. I went back to the girl at desk and asked how im supposed to get luggage up the stairs and she said you can carry them. Then she said we have a bell boy that can take them. She made a comment to the other girl that i can walk up stairs. Yes i can walk up stairs but not with 50 pound luggage plus a carry on!!! All she had to say when i was checking in, was room is up the stairs with no elevator access. Will you need help with my bags. Either she was new or having a bad day but she made our arrival very upsetting. Everything else was absolutely wonderful. We had a ocean view room which was amazing.

Older property, but good location and pretty clean.

It was hard to find the hotel in the dark the first night, that was most frustrating. The grounds were lovely & I spent a few hours taking in the scenery.

Nice older property on the water and opposite a park. Very convenient for Volcano Park. Only issue was the mattress was very soft and uncomfortable and should be replaced.

Nothing has been updated in years, paint is peeling, walls are dirty, the beds/pillows are so uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, and charging a resort fee to stay here is a joke, worst place we've stayed this trip

Very outdated. Old shower and toilets, flooring cracked.

Friendly staff. Relatively quiet. Convenient parking. Nice view.

We loved it here. No sandy beach but that's Hilo. We were only there for two days which e perfect to s all we wanted to.
