at my first breakfast I found long black hair in my food. Waitress does not cover their hair. I have to stop breakfast and can not eat whole day.

Front desk was very friendly and helpful. However the breakfast left much to be desired. It was obviously understaffed. On the first day, the coffee machine ran out of milk, water and coffee. No one attended to it for 20 mins. While everyone was waiting for coffee. Second day which was a Sunday and breakfast till 10.30am. Came down at 9.30am, there were not enough tables as they weren’t cleared. And worse, no food was left. After several customers asked, some bread and scrambled eggs were provided. That’s all. Nothing else. Do yourself a favour. Skip the breakfast and go 4 doors down, they served much better stuff there.

The hotel was good, our first room was close to the restaurant and was not good. Very cold and noisy. There were able to change our room and the second one. Was much better. We could not find parking close to get our luggage and do the check. Location was good, walkable and close to transit and restaurants.

Perfect location

Flight arrived from Bergamo airport past midnight, only 10 mins to get an Uber to the hotel but it is on the pricey side €42 for a short journey but considering not having to drag my luggage all the way to Milan, that was an ideal solution. The hotel staff was very helpful with late check in. Room was extremely spacious and modern. Perfect temperature without me having to adjust the air conditioning. Comfy bed and not too noisy despite being on the second floor. Upon checking out and before heading to the station for my train, I could really benefit from the use of restroom but they have not got one available at the lobby area nor the restaurant area, according to staff, it is under renovations which is a bit of shame as this has let down the score slightly. Would have love to use their spa facilities next time when I visit again. Overall, really lovely stay and close proximity to central Bergamo.

The hotel was very near to the airport bus so it was very easy to get from the airport. As it is on a direct bus route to the Citta Alta access to there was easy. Staff were helpful; we were able to store our luggage due to a late flight and to borrow umbrellas. We will stay again.

Great place to stay. Close to the train station. Restaurant Vox in the same building as the hotel was phenomenal. Older building but they maintained it well and kept it very clean. Only complaint was that the air conditioning only worked if a window was open - that may have been user error but that was the only way we could figure it out. Additionally, the windows have no screens (perhaps that’s a European thing) so we were scared to let bugs in if the windows were left open Otherwise it was great, would recommend.

Overnight stay from airport. Hotel was central and all facilities were excellent.

Property is close to the Citta Alta.

Don’t stay here. May as well have slept rough on the street. Noisy, aircon doesn’t work, just 26 degrees in the room. go somewhere else

The hotel location is excellent - on the airport bus route and close to the railway station if you plan excursions to Brescia for example. It’s on a street with a number of restaurants but also has the option of room service. The rooms are modern and spacious, comfortable and very clean. Numerous options for breakfast - everything you could want in the excellent buffet. I would recommend the hotel without reservation talking about the hotel alone. However it is worth knowing that there is a space across the road 100 metres away which for one day during my stay had an open air rock concert from about 9pm to midnight. The hotel’s double glazing did not keep out the thumping bass and my room was on that side of the hotel. It’s not obvious when those evening rock concerts are going to happen so I suggest specifying a room away from the main road. None of this is the hotel’s fault but it was frustrating for one night not knowing when the music would stop.

Mercure Bergamo was a nice hotel in a great location near the train station/airport bus stops with an easy walk to the funicular to Citta Alta. The hotel itself and the room was very clean on arrival. However, on day 2, the maid only left 1 bath towel for 2 people(none in any drawers - we checked) resulting in us having to share. The toilet paper wasnt replenished either. On day 3, we arrived back in the evening to find there had been no maid service at all that day so I had to go to reception to ask for towels/toilet paper. I was asked if I had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door by mistake! (which we hadn't) which made me feel questioned rather than given an apology for an uncleaned room. The room itself was modern, spacious, tastefully decorated with a huge wall mounted tv, comfy bed & pillows and nice smelling toiletries. The hand and bidet towels weren't towelling though, more like table napkins which was strange. I think this hotel is having a towel shortage! Breakfast was good with a varied choice. However, there was no toaster available to toast bread - maybe this is an Italian thing. The hot section could have been better, the bacon looked a bit grey although good on the last morning, the sausages were hot dog type and the beans were dry beans without a sauce. I had read reviews to say that breakfast was cramped and the buffet not replenished but we did not experience this. Overall, a few minor issues in a decent hotel and would return/recommend

Nice hitel, breakfast area got a little crowded and minor maintenance issues. I would consider staying here again.
