Really great stay for business this time. Staff are lovely, really helpful and friendly. The hotel is quite modern inside an old building but clean and tidy, it could do with a small refresh in the halls but that's a minor point. Breakfast is great, really nice area to eat in and plenty of space to move around the tables. Overrall, I'm looking forward to my.next stay.

Came to enjoy the last week of my 40's and mentioned on booking this was the reason for staying. Was absolutely blown away by the unexpected birthday balloon, prosecco and card put in the room by the hotel...I wept tears of joy...such an act of kindness made me feel so very special 🥰 The room was AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL!! Congratulations to all at The Alan....I won't be staying anywhere else in Manchester...you have my heart ♥️

Room was exactly like the photos. Was great! Only negatives were the curtains were hard to draw.

Nice hotel with minimalist decor smack dab in the centre of town. 1 minute to St. Peter’s Square and the Town Hall, 1 minute to China Town. Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfy bedroom with work area, fridge and tea/coffee station. Good deal for price. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in town.

We loved our stay, the women staff were absolutely amazing from start to finish. When we got back on Friday night there was 2 male staff, they weren't helpful. With the ladies they went above & beyond for my granddaughter & me. The hotel was lovely, very clean & it was overall one of the best hotels we've been to, so we will come back, thank you to all involved

Really cool room. The person next to our room was talking on the phone all night and then got woken by his alarm at 6am so walls are not soundproof. Also no place to plug in the hairdryer near a mirror.

We have stayed here 5 times now. The beds are so comfy the room is lovely and clean. The staff are so helpful and the breakfast is so nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. The only downsides were the room had a hair on the bath, the shower curtain wasn’t the cleanest and when using the fan it expelled dust over the bed and my sisters bag, other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast had a good selection and was fresh and replenished well.

Very disappointing stay. The only positives were the good location and decent breakfast. Avoid booking a ground-floor room. Ours faced a graffiti-covered wall. The TV remote control had dead batteries, and the room felt stuffy as the windows could not be opened. Some staff members were unhelpful, and there was no flexibility when we asked to change rooms despite the issues. Overall, not good value for money and not a hotel I would recommend.
