The staff was great. They provided a hair dryer on request. The room was dirty, bad smell, broken doors, no air or cooling, shower Curtian Shorter than tub.

Honestly had the worst stay. The room was disgustingly dirty. The mirror wall seemed to be a double sided mirror, the phone didn’t work, the front desk lady was annoyed I was there to check in. She sat in the back after seeing and hearing me and my children in the lobby for a long time before she grumpily walked up to help me. There was no parking. Breakfast sucked, my baby wouldn’t even eat it. I felt extremely unsafe and got no sleep thinking of what could happen to me and my babies staying there alone. DO NOT STAY HERE. Save your money. I’ll pitch a tent before I’d stay there again.

Everything was disappointing, cleanliness, amenities, location and friendliness of staff. It definitely underperformed expectations from online photos and description. Alaska is beautiful so we overlooked this part of our trip.

The hotel is inexpensive and located about 20 minutes outside of Anchorage. It is definitely a no-frills place, looks kind of like an old rundown college dorm. We were there in June during unusually warm weather. Window seat cushions are stained, no air conditioning ( typical in Alaska), windows opened to provide cooler air but had no locking mechanism, a good bit of road noise. Linens were not changed or bathroom cleaned during a week’s stay. Overhead lighting did not work, though ceiling fan was nice. Ask for a hairdryer at the desk if you need one. Staff is friendly and continental breakfast is provided each day.

Ok place

It was terrible. No air conditioning. A box fan, ceiling fan and an open window. Hotel located by a busy street with traffic all night long. Wouldn't recommend.

Ok, not like other higher standards from Microtel.

Hotel is old and poorly maintained. Paint peeling, floors separately, smells like mold, ceiling is hanging down. Gerally dirty. Found bags and food under the beds from previous guests. Top of mini fridge in breakfast area caked with dirt. Shower curtain/rod is broke, water sprayer all over floor. It was a cheap room and I understand why.

This hotel is below average in most ways and just kind of a dump. Tiny rooms, old, outdated furniture, pathetic breakfast. Our tub had a crack and hole in it that my wife had to plug with her foot while bathing. Who knows how long water has been draining below it? Avoid if possibe.

Decent for 1 night stay

The room has a very dirty carpet that kept us sneezing all the time, bathroom was dirty and there was not even a light fridge to keep drinks cold.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. The area seems very safe. The city of Eagle River is a great little town. Lots of places to see and hike close by. We really liked Thunderbird Falls, a short drive away.

Don’t stay here!! Very rude ppl.

Queen standard room was sooo small. Maybe 2.5’ on either side of bed. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spacious for the size of room. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was pretty basic continental style. At almost $200/night did not feel it was a good value for the money.

Hotel was older and not real clean.

This hotel is a disaster. Listing said it had air conditioning, it ddid not. Pillows i room were horrible. No fridge or hair dryer in room. Overall condition was terrible. Breakfast was a joke, one coffee carafe did not work. Yougurt ran out. Outside parking lot look like a construction site. Dome exterior doors did not lock. The price for this location is ridiculous. This is a $49 a night hotel at besg. Would never ever tell someone to consider this place even if it was free.

The rooms were clean, but due to lack of staff there was no room service. If you needed something then you had to ask which they helped you.
