Beautiful historic old building, with significant attention paid to historical preservation in conversion to hotel. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere in lobby and contiguous rooms. The advertised “view of Millennium Park” was exaggerated, actually only possible if one kneels on the sofa and cranes your neck. Shower is problematic as the glass enclosure leaks, creating a huge puddle extending across the entire room to the toilet. It took 5 large bath towers to sop it up. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Hotel is on a prime location which was nice. House keeping was on point. Honestly is overpriced for what you get (not even free breakfast ) we had to drive around twice to figure out where the lobby was, went inside to find out where to park or check in did not find anybody to assist us. Air conditioning worked whenever it pleased, can barely see the numbers on the displayed monitor.. Only good thing was location.

Super unique hotel with gorgeous architecture. The bars and restaurants were fantastic and the view from Cindy's rooftop were amazing. The rooms are well-appointed and good sized. I'm very picky about my bed and it was comfy! Staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the location and its walkable to Millenium Park, Lake Michigan, Riverwalk, Art Institute, train station and tons of restaurants and bars.

Love the location and ambiance of the room. Miss the Cherry Circle Room which was my favorite dining and drinks part of the hotel on my last visit. Cindy's is nice with a great view and great food, but not as intimate and stylish as the Cherry Circle.

This is definitely a 3 star hotel. The rooms were very hot & muggy with hardly any light (the windows open to a very narrow alleyway). In-room thermostat does not work and was stuck at 71 degrees our entire visit. Accommodations were cramped, bed was hard, elevator took between 7-10 minutes to be called which made us late two days in a row. The common areas are very nice, but I will not stay here again.

Was so excited to stay at the CAA finally! The room left a bit to be desired but that was ok with how fun the overall experience was. Multiple bar/dining options, very dynamic entertainment, and in an amazing (can't beat) location. It almost felt like being on a cruise ship. They also had a really cool local group put on an event while we were there, which was very affirming of queer and gender nonconforming identities, which was a wonderful surprise. Also a surprise concert with SoFar Sounds Chicago, which although we did not have time to go to, was such a cool opportunity the hotel offerred. I felt very lucky to be able to stay here while visiting Chicago, after having gone just for drinks when I lived in Chicago.
