The bathroom could do with a glass panel - curtain is outdated! The hairdryer was poor and didn’t work well. Pillows were poor quality . Could do with a kettle in the room with some tea gags and coffee

The views from the ocean view are amazing. Beautiful location too. Rooms are older and quite dated yet very clean and a great balcony. We’d stay again for sure.

The key to open the door was the most interesting thing . The front desk agent has to explain with a sample door knob he had at the front desk to show you how to open your room door .

We booked the stay because of really good reviews of the hotel and its 4 star rating and what was supposed to be a great breakfast. 1st room we were accommodated in had ants, we got moved to another room where the “AC” was very loud and barely working. The breakfast was very basic and we pretty much ate just the fruit. Overall the hotel is definitely dated and I wouldn’t rate it as 4*. I have to admit that they have a nice ocean view though. We originally booked 2 nights and after the 1st we decided to cancel the 2nd.

Our first room was not great and we were given a free upgrade to a fantastic room. It’s a great place but everything is just out of date.

perfect location

I love the location which is closed to other tourist attractions like the Cave and the Chapel in Sao Vicente. The lava pool in Porto Moniz and the levada walk. I really love the ocean view of this property especially for other people who love nature, this place is for them. Overall this place is so beautiful.

An excellent 4 star hotel with good facilities, very clean, lovely pool, very good scenery. Only problem that we found was that it catered too much for the package people with 'entertainment' on every night and heards of people wanting to sit down at the same time for food. Well away from Funchal, the local town does not have any restaurants so we had to go to Sao Vincent which has a good choice of eating places...but you do need a car. Would go back again.

Le personnel ne dit jamais bonjour, Le matelas des lits est de mauvaise qualité. Le petit-déjeuner est très bruyant le personnel fait énormément de bruit en débarrassant le table ....

Struttura anni ‘70-‘80 con manutenzione insufficiente. Garage con pochissimi posti, nonostante il parcheggio venga dichiarato come incluso.

Hotelli ei todellakaan ollut 4 tähden luokkaa. Huoneessa oli hometta, ja torakka uima-allasosastolla. Ystäväni sai allergisenreaktion homeen vuoksi. Hotellin esitteet antoivat väärän kuvan. Ystävällisesti palauttivat hinnan yhden yöpymisen jälkeen. Muutenkin ei vastannut 4 tähden tasoa. Sijaitsi mutkaisen tien päässä, 6km Sao Vicenteen, kulku vain taxilla. Saimme huoneen Sao Vicentessä. Onneksi tämän kiertomatkan loppun vietimme Riu Palacessa, siihen hotelliin voi aina luottaa.

Generally a proper hotel, nice facilities. It is visible that the hotel was built many years ago, and both the rooms, the facilities and also the visitors are a bit outdated. I would not recommend for younger couples, but for older people this could work. It is in a quite area.

Een beetje vergane glorie.

En este viaje reservamos dos hoteles distintos, en la costa norte y sur de la isla, para facilitar movernos por distintas zonas y rutas. En ese sentido la localización nos resultó muy práctica, aunque la zona es menos turística y los hoteles a veces lo reflejan. Las habitaciones necesitan una reforma para poderse considerar un 4 estrellas (además de evitar que entren hormigas en las que están a ras del jardín), las zonas comunes están mejor. El desayuno es mejorable, al igual que el parking, aunque la zona es tranquila y es fácil aparcar por las calles frente al hotel.
