The property looks like it is very close to the train station on a map, but the reality is quite different. More than 1km away from the city, on the wrong side of the rail tracks in a dreadful location. The hotel is modern and very clean, but no hot water for a shower, either in the evening or morning is very poor for any star of hotel. When i mentioned upon checking out, the receptionist good careless. The restaurant is close, so is the gym and meeting rooms. Breakfast was to be a voucher for somewhere not exactly next door, or a box. Not delivered to the room. I chose to take mine away as I had an early check out. This 'bag' was not forthcoming coming after paying the city tax etc, I literally had to ask! I use hotels.com often and stay in Italy, often. I am used to a less than warm reception (which isn’t right) but this place was empty and the attitude was terrible. I won't be staying here again.

Convenient to the train station. But not many Restaurants and hard to get a taxi back to hotel in the evening. Also the electrical for charging at night in inconvenient.

Staying at Max Hotel Livorno was an excellent experience! The location is very convenient, with easy access to both the city center and transportation. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean, offering great comfort after a day exploring Tuscany. The staff is professional, friendly, and always ready to help with anything you need, which really makes the stay feel welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with both sweet and savory options that gave us the perfect start to the day. Overall, it’s a reliable, comfortable, and well-managed hotel in Livorno — highly recommended whether you are here for business or leisure.

The hotel is very nice but when we did the check out the staff was kind of rude. On the other side when we checked in the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

The front desk young gentleman was extremely helpful and he always had a smile, I can’t remember his name but he delivered excellent service.

Nice modern hotel. Restaurant food ok but you don’t expect an a la cart restaurant to serve food in cold plates which means Pasta goes cold very quickly.

Everything was great from check in to check out. The room was spotless and modern, especially the bathroom. The king bed was comfortable. The steam room in the fitness center was a great free perk, and the breakfast was fabulous, with everything from eggs and bacon to fruit salad and yogurts and pastries, not to mention any type of breakfast beverage. Location was very close to the port and the parking was free and easy. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Good hotel

Good location, close to motorway. Small car park where you rarely find space so you have find somewhere around the car park. The rooms are small and are not sound proof so your sleep depends on your neighbour. Positives are the staff and cleanliness of the room.

The hotel was very modern and clean. We asked for a big room and the one we got did not have enough beds but it was just a confusion and jsut had to wait a little longer to get the right room. Close to downtown, space for parking, and easu access.

Nice basic and clean stopover. Bed was slanted once side.. but otherwise comfy bed.. pillows good!

Convenient for the station. Out of town but with a bar/cafe next door. Nice, clean room. Small gym available at any time.
