Upon arrival, the lobby seemed clean and had a strong smell of fragrance. Immediately I thought, what stench are they trying to cover up. The guy at the front desk was extremely friendly and that was the only positive thing about our experience. When we first entered our room we were smacked in the face with a horrible smell of mold. To me it smelled like urine but to my husband it smelled like mold. It didn’t take long to start spotting the mold. It was all over the bathroom. On the ceiling, in the shower, on the walls and I’m sure there was hidden mold that was hiding underneath the floors or in other places. The smell was so strong we could barely stand it. Upon further inspection we noticed there was what appeared to be urine on the walls and front door, which explained why I was smelling urine. We would have left but we arrived at midnight and only needed an overnight stay as we were on our way to Corpus Christi. We were in the hotel room for about 10 hours and it was enough to make us physically ill from breathing in mold. It really put a damper on our beach vacation. I wish we would have never stayed there. This place should be condemned! DO NOT STAY HERE! There are FAR better places to stay at in Kerrville.

It was clean and convenient and spacious

Online pics did not represent the room we got. It was dark and dingy looking with stained sheets on one bed and dirty floor in bathroom.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms aren’t very clean. The details have been let go, and the fixtures are deteriorated. The linens didn’t seem very clean on the beds. One bed had visible yellow stains on the sheets, but at least I was able to switch beds.

Great location for trails, park and town. Good rooms and a/c. Very good breakfast options. Would stay there again?

Older property rooms were outdated

Property and room just showing age. Musty smell and A/C that doesn’t work well was just an added bonus

Everyone there was not only professional and courteous all the time The rooms were clean and spacious Staff was as nice as my family would be to me i will stay there again

Tub was dirty

The staff at the hotel were great! However the conditions of the rooms were terrible. I had to change rooms twice at check in. The first room was very humid and smelled like sitting water. The second room had mold all over the curtains. The third room was better but the curtains were shredded and the doors weren’t clean

The room was very dated and worn. Desk chair in room looked like it had been pulled from a dump. Walls needed painting, trim falling off the wall. The staff was excellent however

Checking in was why and staff were friendly. The room looked clean but had a strong musky odor (dirty carpet) and the ac was not cooling enough. Very unfortunate.

Highly recommend La Quinta Inn in Kerville

It was a great stay.

The Staff were very friendly. Liked that it was Pet Friendly as well. Weekday Breakfast closed at 9am. Would have been nice if open till 10am for those of us that want to sleep in a bit more.

It’s an older property they have patched for years and the rooms/halls need a makeover. Getting musty. Every surface is marred, chipped, or marked. Paint only covers so much. The in room AC is leaking water soaking the carpet into the room so they put an air freshener under the unit to try and hide the smell, so they know it’s broken and are doing as little as possible despite the health risks due to mold. I was exhausted so we stayed on night but I will rethink La Quinta as a name brand. In fairness the bed and bedding was clean and comfortable, nice front staff, good location.
