Lovely hotel

Good location for where we were visiting. Bed had lumps and was uncomfortable. Website suggested free use of pool but actually it was 10 pounds each per visit. Signs in parking lot also demanded daily parking fee. Reception stated that was what they hoped but parking was actually free. Service in bar was good albeit expensive and pay machine suggested tipping.

Slightly dated decor, the property is vast and we were put in rooms that seemed the furthest away from the main building. Despite it seeming very quiet and there were only a handful of guests. The rooms and corridors could do with modernising. There were some stains on the carpet and a lampshade in one of our rooms. There were no issues with the breakfast with reasonable choice. I would suggest the hotel is more 3 star plus rather than 4.

Quiet and relaxing

Excellent stay. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely and bed very comfortable

although the staff were nice. the restaurant was poor, breakfast was not great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we stayed here at the same time last year, and this year did not disappoint. Friendly, helpful staff, throughout the hotel. Good breakfast and special requests delivered quickly. Parking is good. All rooms well supplied with tea,coffee etc . Good eco friendly towel and cleaning options. We also saw staff deal very politely and discreetly with a complaint from another customer. The cost is very good. We will come again next year, thank you.

Some of the rooms are looking a little bedraggled but they have always been very clean and the beds are very comfortable and the staff are wonderful

The rooms absolutely

Nice hotel reception, bar area and dining room, but the bedroom & bathroom could do with updating! Remove the bath & install walk in shower would be perfect. The lift did have a nasty smell! The breakfast was very good and food was fresh plenty off choice. On the whole the hotel was clean.

Great hotel for our overnight stay when attending a wedding

I booked the hotel Via hotels.com and chose the hotel because it had a pool. When I arrived reception advised me that the pool is not included in the price as I booked Via Hotels.com. This was not notified to me during the booking process or I would have chosen another hotel. Very disapointed!

Really good hotel, clean quiet room with a comfortable bed.
