Fantastic location, very friendly staff, rooms were nice and very clean. Toiletries provided are of a nice quality and breakfast was very good. Cannot fault in any way and would definitely recommend.

This was the perfect spot for our night in town! A short walk from the train station, our room was ready early and we were very warmly welcomed. The room was cozy and breakfast excellent. We will definitely return!

I threw in a quick pit stop to Gothenburg from Oslo to Copenhagen. I had originally booked in at a chain property but took another look at my options via TA and decided to come stay at the Hotel Royal. I'm so please with my choice. Great service, beautiful old architecture, comfortable rooms that are laid out well for size (I was in a twin room but had ample room for a large bag). Fantastic breakfast, close to the railway, close to everything. I was only in town for about 36 hours but feel like I got a good overview of the city. If I come back I will most definitely stay here again. I applaud them for remaining independent and doing a great job at catering to their guests.

Fantastic hotel. Independently run, lots of personal touches and you can see real thought has gone into the look and feel of the hotel. Breakfast as well was superb

Absolutely loved our stay here. Very unique hotel and respect that they are independently owned. All the staff are friendly, great breakfast and fika, and the rooms are wonderful. Clean hotel, convenient location for the surrounding city. Highly recommend.

Hotel Royal is a gem in the middle of the city! Very convenient to Central Station and public transport. The staff was lovely, and the breakfast delicious. We will definitely be back.

The property is on a heavily traveled street and is very noisy.
