Lovely hotel on the water. Big plus that dinner and breakfast was included. Room had lovely decor and hearing seagulls while drifting off to sleep was lovely. Only downside was that there was active construction at a building across the water that started at 7:30 am. I was up early tho and it was less of an issue than if I had wanted to sleep in.

Fantastic location by the sea, terrace, great dinner, excellent healthy food, included with room fare. Breakfast is outstanding, best we had in our trip across Europe. We highly recommend

The Home Hotel also offered complimentary Fika and a Buffet supper. I found that to be so nice and unexpected.

This hotel was rustic yet welcoming. The entire town was in walking distance. The water views were amazing. The staff was unbelievably welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. It’s definitely a home away from home.

Lovely stay! Staff was super friendly, breakfast and dinner were excellent also, all home made and a lot of variety. We were lucky enough to have a room with a seaside view, we really felt like we were on a boat, amazing! I’d highly recommend this place of you ever go to Kalmar!

Very welcoming with a homelike feel. Clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. The “dinner included” dinner was excellent.

We stayed here in September 2025. I loved the historical character of the place. We had a water view, which was amazing. However, our neighbor had his radio/tv up so loud. You could hear it from the hall. We would not have been able to sleep. Both we and the hotel knocked on the door, but no one every answered. So they moved us that night. When we went back the next morning to get the rest of our things out of the original room, the tv/radio was still that loud. To be honest, I am surprised they didn't enter the room to make sure the person was alright. I still gave this 5 stars, because the staff did give us another room (not a water view, but it was still nice). The breakfast and dinner were great and saved us a lot of money. The location is amazing. You could walk to town easily from there. I would definitely stay there again.

This property was very nice. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff was very professional. Our room was on the “smallish” side and the chair needed some new stuffing! Bed and pillows were wonderful. Definitely come back again.

We had a nice visit to Kalmar and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is convenient to the train station as well as the central part of the city. The breakfast is delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

This place was great! We had a beautiful seaside room and the meals were all delicious. The write up said a light dinner, but we found it filling. The gym looked really nice, but I never made it there

Nice location and easy walk from the railway station and return to the inner city with its attractions. Super that breakfast, afternoon coffee and evening buffet were in the price.
