Nostalgic but convenient base outside of the Old Town near Viru Gate. Breakfast has numerous options.

The location was good. Near the old town, some tram stations and a bus station I didn’t use. It’s situated above a shopping mall with a food court which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good and there’s plenty of seating. The staff is also very helpful for tourists.

I recently stayed at Original Sokos Hotel Viru and overall had a pleasant stay. The hotel is well located, the room was comfortable, and the staff I interacted with were generally friendly. However, the check-in experience left a sour taste. I arrived at approximately 1:15 p.m. and was told that my room was already ready. Despite the room being available, I was informed that I would need to pay an additional €15 to access it before the official 3:00 p.m. check-in time. Rather than pay the fee, I waited in the lobby with my wife, a 3-year-old child, a 6-month-old infant, and our luggage. At approximately 2:00 p.m., I approached the desk again and a different employee checked us in immediately at no charge. This made the policy feel arbitrary and inconsistent. If a room is ready and available, especially for a family travelling with young children, charging an extra fee simply to access an already-prepared room creates a poor first impression. The fact that I was later checked in for free only added to the confusion. I understand hotels have published check-in times, but when a room is sitting ready and vacant, a more customer-focused approach would go a long way. Overall, a good hotel, but the handling of the early check-in situation was disappointing and unnecessary.

Enjoyed the stay. Welcomed like a valued customer. Loved the gym, small but it had everything i needed. Would recommend and rebook if im going to visit Tallinn again.

A perfect hotel for an international tourist. Great facilities, friendly staff, great breakfast. The only single downfall is the road it's on. A challenge to get to with a car or on foot.

The standard rooms are not suitable for business travel as the "desk" in my room was barely 30cm wide. The superior rooms are better however. Service was also somewhat lackluster.

Rooms are bit small, but the rest of the stuff is really good. Breakfast is perfect, rooms are clean, AC a bit old, but still functional 😊

I didn’t check in so you shouldn’t have sent this. Tried to cancel my booking with the property 6 months in advance due to medical reasons and was not able to. Have a bit of sympathy

Great Location in the city center, everything is a walking distance from the hotel. Old town is across the street, even the ferry terminal is a walking distance from the hotel.
