All good

Good rooms, except we had a room over the Slug and Lettuce pub, which was noisy at the weekend.

Unique setting, let down by poor air cooling system, ie no air con, which meant it was really humid & hot during the hottest day of the year so far.

It's a nice concept but there were issues with cleanliness and maintenance not just in the room but throughout the hotel. The staff appeared a bit cold on a number of occasions.

Great stay!

My stay was brief. I used the hotel pretty much as a bed. Have stayed before many times, and for a more leisurely stay I know it to have a good vibe.

We had a fantastic stay however pulling up to the car park a manager ran out to the car asking if we were staying to which we said yes. ( didn’t even get a chance to turn the engine off ) asked if we’d booked parking which we said no and she then informed us it was £35 valet parking. We were happy to pay this but tone made us feel uncomfortable. We were only staying one night and they had plenty of parking but she said they would be out to park our car elsewhere. We felt like because our car didn’t fit the vibe of all the other high end cars parked out front she judged us immediately. Other than this all other service was 10/10, breakfast lovely, room lovely.

Excellent stay. Upgraded our room which was a lovely surprise. Very unique place, well worth a visit.

Fine - but it was v expensive inside. Over £4 for a flat white and why is the breakfast so expensive?

Good sized bedroom, very good breakfast, excellent choice for both full and continental breakfasts. Hotel very close to centre of Oxford. Interesting building.

Ideal location with all of central oxford in walkable distance. Quirky hotel formerly a prison. Great base for the oxford castle tour next door. Helpful, courteous, professional and friendly staff. Great stay we had everything we needed.

This hotel was super fun to stay at. The staff was so willing to help when we had an issue and fixed it right away and with options! I marked everything with high intent, besides the AC. Our room was to have AC but it didn't work, BUT they did move us and gave us fans. Not my ideal, but they tried to make it work for it being an old prison. But I would recommend it from the parking attendant to the staff!

Great hotel that was converted from a jail. Rooms are huge and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is fantastic.

Very comfortable, quiet room in the 'House of corrections'. Excellent nights sleep in comfy bed. Great large shower. Good selection of drinks on the courtesy tray. Super stylsh, unique hotel, conveniently placed just 5-10 mins walk from Oxford train station and 5 minutes from nearest shops & restaurants. Quality of breakfast ingredients was very good, althugh I did receive baked beans despite saying I didn't want any, and the full English Breakfast was not very warm.
