L’Alberta is a beautiful property with scenic surroundings and luxurious touches. However, despite its aesthetic appeal, our stay was marred by two major issues that left us disappointed and frustrated. First, we encountered disruptive construction on the property. Starting at 8 AM during both mornings of our stay, we were subjected to constant drilling and hammering that lasted for over an hour. When we raised this with the front desk, the response was inconsistent and dismissive. On the first day, we were told it was essential work that had to be conducted, yet no effort had been made to notify guests beforehand or to relocate us to a quieter wing. On the second day, staff claimed to have no knowledge of any construction, which was baffling given the noise we experienced. Even after we presented audio recordings at check-out, they maintained they were unaware of the issue, which reflected a disappointing lack of accountability and professionalism. Second, the hotel’s handling of transportation fees felt opaque and misleading. The hotel offered car rides to nearby destinations, but at no point were we informed that these were not complimentary. We used the service twice, both for short trips under 15 minutes, and were shocked to be charged €65 per ride. This lack of transparency around pricing felt unfair and left us feeling blindsided.

Prices have gone up but service has gone massively down, still a nice property to relax for a couple of days but probably there are better options for the same price.

Fabulous oasis in a beautiful part of Italy - excellent dining and services

As good as I expected and more. Great location in the country side surrounded by vineyards and serene views of Lago d’ Iseo. A want to go back and stay longer experience. Strongly recommended.

Simply beautiful

A beautiful property, ideal for exploring the Franciacorte area with a helpful, courteous and generally excellent staff. Our room 202 had a Jacuzzi shower that did not work and was essentially a moveable hand shower in a small enclosure. It needs a proper shower. The TV in the corner of the room could not be properly viewed anywhere from the bed due to blockage and ALL english language programs were essentially unwatchable due to poor signal. There is a lovely pool, spa and garden area but with NO service, which seemed very strange. The breakfast service was excellent with some good choices and options. The main restaurant is in a good location with al fresco atmosphere but the menu is strangely limited with preponderance of vegetarian options and is expensive for what it is though this is mitigated by an excellent wine list. Overall good but needs to fix some issues.

Beautiful property, fantastic grounds and gardens and the staff are amazing. We loved our few days staying here.

A great location to visit the various wineries. Hotel very comfortable - except for the lack of air con (which we were told is not allowed until mid May?). Roberta was a fabulous host and helped when we needed it. Would recommend and come back for sure.Also a shout out to Fabio who drove us and helped a lot.

Very nice stay

Lovely hotel in beautiful location. Rooms very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was disappointing though, as they charge extra for typical continental breakfast items like meat, cheese and eggs. As a result the breakfast including in the room was just a few pastries and cereal, all very sweet. This is not the typical experience of a Relais au Chateaux 5 star hotel!

Property is gorgeous - the vineyards, vistas, gardens and terraces. Inside the décoré is beautiful - an interesting mix of traditional and Eclectic, with many comfortable, and cost areas to relax and unwind. Food, as expected if a R & C hotel, is exceptional.

The location is outstanding if you are looking for relaxation , surrounded by nice and beautiful cities , I would say everything was great.

Most beautiful resort inside & grounds In Franciacorta wine region

Overall a great stay, but was disappointed in a couple things. I was blown away with the decor (both interior and exterior) of this hotel. It was such a beautiful hotel with the restaurants overlooking Lake d’Iseo. The rooms were also very spacious. And there is plenty to do at the hotel given its focus on wellness (eg self guided walks around the property/vineyards, pools, gyms, spas, shopping). However, there are a couple things that could be improved. First, the bathroom could be renovated. It was a very old bathroom, and while clean looked somewhat dingy. Second, they charge for breakfast, which is fine, but having travelled across Italy for a month, every hotel we stayed at offered free breakfast. This seems out of the norm, and more notably, there was nothing fancy about the breakfast - just your usual eggs and pastries. That being said, aside from the bathroom and breakfast, the hotel was great.

Hotel has everything you need to escape a daily routine and relax! Amenities are fantastic and the property is magical, especially in the evening!

Hotel itself is lovely, note the standard room we had had no bath only a small corner shower. Breakfast was ok but other food we had was awful. Room service 1st night was OK but portion size was tiny. Bar menu following evening - undercooked burger - poorly presented. Biggest issue was head injury sustained in shower, gashed head on ‘unprotected metal shower door handle - 5 days on still getting headaches. Protracted discussions with reception staff lead to them contacting the General Manager by e-mail only - apparently he or she won’t talk to people. Eventually left with bill in dispute being told GM would ring me - still waiting
