Nobody on reception when I arrived - eventually found the receptionist in the bar.
Parking availability isn’t guaranteed as a hotel guest because the car park has very limited spaces, shared with bar/restaurant patrons (and Xmas party attendees).
Money has been spent on modernising the ground floor but that’s where any investment seems to have stopped. You go up the stairs to the first floor and even the carpet changes from contemporary to 90s parents living room.
Wasn’t asked how my stay was on departure, otherwise I would have told them the water in the shower went icy cold twice that morning when I was trying to use it.
Generally offers less than the refurbished Travelodge rooms, or newer built Travelodge and Premier Inns in the town centre.
