Loved the staff! Check in was very pleasant. Staff helped us with hiking ideas and times. Hotel’s view is out of this world. Prob best view I’ve ever had. We went to valley of the nuns for lunch at naibors cafe and it was the best lunch I’ve had in Portugal. Fresh homemade cooked food. The only sad thing was we had to leave. I would definitely return if I ever have the chance

Lovely clean room would benefit from extra power points

Large clean room with comfortable beds. Only 3 electrical sockets available and all in use. Maybe provide an extention lead? Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Lovely area/setting. No parking issues and lovely garden though didn't get to sit outside much due to the rain. Restaurant needs some attention as food/cooking quality a bit hit and miss. However competitively priced. Would happily return though I might eat out more.

Room needs kettle and tea/coffee. Bed wasn’t too bad, but pillows were not comfortable. Breakfast was buffet with hot and cold choices. Staff were very friendly. Swimming pool is heated and hot tub a welcome break! Two free car parks at front and rear of hotel.

The room was spacious and well equipped (no kettle though - you need to ask for hot drinks at the bar) and staff are attentive. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus.

Beautiful looking property but RED flags appeared immediately upon arrival. Wifi was broken on first day. Hot tub is not hot. You have to pay extra for sauna. Have to leave a deposit for pool towel. Bed is uncomfortable. Extremely hard. First morning breakfast, automatic coffee machine was broken but they wouldn’t provide coffee using the $5k machine at the bar. Threaten to charge people who take an extra piece of fruit with Them when they leave breakfast buffet. These signs are disappointing. Never experienced this before at any hotel with this star rating.

Staff was very nice. Very basic accommodation- no AC, dark, small room, food ok, but expensive for what it is. Nice pool, lukewarm hot tub, good shower pressure. Bed is super uncomfortable, hard, springy. There may be better rooms in the updated building, but I don’t know.

Very interesting historical museum hotel. The hotel is well maintained for its age, felt like going back in time a bit. Our group was impressed by how well-kept and clean it is, everything was sparkling clean.

Quiet hotel in a small town. Clean, good service, nice breakfast. Easy to drive around to other attractions in the area. Good Wi-Fi and modern facilities.

--- Subject: Extremely Disappointing Experience I recently stayed at [solar de Boaventura ] and unfortunately had a very negative experience was overcharged for my stay, and despite my attempts to resolve the issue, it seems that the staff was more focused on finding ways to charge extra rather than addressing my concerns. There was only one staff member, Sara, who appeared to be listening to my issues, but the overall lack of friendliness and support from the rest of the team was disheartening. I ended up leaving a day early and had to pay for another hotel because I simply couldn’t stay any longer. Additionally, the lack of convenient transportation options, such as taxis or Uber, made it even more challenging. To top it off, there was no water provided in the room, which is a basic expectation. I was promised that I would receive a refund for the extra charge, but I have yet to see any follow-up on that. Overall, this was a very bad experience, and I hope that my feedback will lead to improvements for future guests. Thank you. ---

Great hotel enjoyed every moment of my stay. Clean and comfortable and staff were really friendly and welcoming. Restaurant staff were really helpful and provided a good service, breakfast and dinner were both great with a good selection of food.

Beautiful spaces and location. The pool and spa are brand new. This hotel is like a museum but modern and fresh. The restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner. The beds are a bit too firm for us though.

Very nice smaller hotel with good facilities. Pool and Jacuzzi are very nice. Sauna costs extra, which is not indicated at the time of the reservation, but worth it. Room included an excellent continental breakfast and dinner was also very good. Would definitely recommend. December is low season and it was quiet.
