Excellent room but noisy. The first night was fine but there were weddings on the Saturday and Sunday. The room was directly above reception and the noise from about midnight to about 1:30 was awful. There are no facilities in the hotel apart from the bar and restaurant. At almost £200 a night I felt a bit disappointed about our stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel grounds are beautiful. Bar and restaurant were cozy and inviting. Room was stuffy, couldn't open window.

Large spacious rooms, well furnished, friendly staff, a grand building. But, the cord for the kettle did not reach any sockets (apart from placing when it on the floor (room 205) and the wifi in that room is poor (it was great in 207)

Our stay at Beamish Hall Hotel was a truly memorable experience. Set in stunning countryside, the hotel is a beautiful historic building with elegant interiors and a peaceful atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome and attentive service from the staff. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully furnished, blending classic charm with modern conveniences. The grounds surrounding the hotel are picturesque—perfect for a morning stroll or evening relaxation. We dined in the hotel restaurant and were delighted with the quality of the food and service. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive, with a great selection of hot and cold options. The location is ideal for exploring the area, especially the nearby Beamish Museum, which is just a short drive away. Beamish Hall Hotel offers a perfect mix of character, comfort, and hospitality, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

An over night stay allowing us to have 2 days at Beamish museum nearby and have a taste of luxury in the apartment. Due to dietary needs we have difficulty finding places for us all to eat. This led us to look for apartments. The Charron apartment looked fab on the internet and was even more of a suprise when we checked in. Check in was friendly and quick, the grounds and hotel were absolutely fabulous. A bit of a walk up a few staircases (lift was being repaired), we were offered help with baggage, but the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) managed with no issues. The apartment is separate floor you enter into a massive kitchen diner area with working oven, hob and microwave. Then another door takes you to a hallway and bathroom. Further around the lounge (massive space 2 sofas and a chair plus TV loads of channels and all the apps. Then turn a corner and it's so massive both bedrooms are beautiful with one being an ensuite. We wish we had booked another night. Although it maybe costly the fact we could cook for ourselves have separate rooms for us and the kids makes it worth the price.

Both days cooked breakfast was cold,it seems odd that you order your cooked breakfast, but it arrived in a few minutes,so it looks like the cooked ingredients are kept warm in the kitchen.Whats the point of ordering when it already precooked and standing under heat,we were given a refund for breakfast but it's not what we want, we rather have a hot fresh cooked breakfast. We had evening meals which were really nice,if you can have hot foood on the evening why not on the morning, the rest of the stay was lovely, but breakfast really spoiled it.

Four sisters together to celebrate a special birthday. Fabulous from start to finish. The staff and hotel itself are superb, can’t fault anything. We’ll definitely be back.

The hotel was set in beautiful grounds As it was Christmas time the gadren were all lit up., also a Christmas fair was on that residents had free access to. Great to pick up Christmas gifts. Hotel was with walking distance of Beamish living museum. Service in the restaurant was very slow especially in bar area where some staff did appear to be standing round talking. However when paying the bill they did apologise for any delays ansd explained they had been exceptionally busy all day and had served over 360 meals that day. Would definitely visit again

Historical building in lovely grounds gives the hotel a definite charm. Access to rooms can mean navigating through a labyrinth of stairs and corridors given the historical nature of the hotel though. Stables bar and restaurant very pleasant. All Staff were great and really friendly- always what we’re looking for as it can make or break the stay!

Fabulous traditional building in beautiful grounds. We’ve stayed here 4 times this year- it’s our favourite when travelling to visit family. Unfortunately this time we were v disappointed with the wifi ( room 103)- just kept dropping out all the time ( couldn’t use data due to poor reception in the area). It has probably put us off booking this lovely hotel next time. Thumbs up for maintenance man who was v friendly and helpful.

Wonderful place the staff were warm and friendly this includes your very hard working house maids nothing was a problem. However it would be nice to know more history about the entire state and family. Maybe a folder of this information in each room would be helpful. Thank you.
