Great food, nice room with a balcony

I stayed at Hotel Bonalba at the beginning of December as a short getaway with my husband. While the hotel is located in a beautiful area, it is very inconvenient if you want to visit the city centre, with Uber trips costing around €30 each way. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. The lifts felt unsafe, as the doors close immediately when the first person steps inside, and there are no cameras in the lifts or outside the rooms, which made us feel uneasy. The hotel also seemed very understaffed, and many staff members did not speak English, making communication difficult. As a vegetarian, I found the food options extremely limited. On our last night, dinner was particularly poor due to a large group of around 90 people attending a sports event. Guests who were not part of this group were placed in a small corner while staff focused almost entirely on serving the group. This felt very unfair, especially as we had paid for an all-inclusive package and expected equal service. It’s also worth noting that the all-inclusive package does not include the minibar or snacks such as crisps, which was disappointing. Overall, this stay was a big let-down and a waste of money. I would not return to this hotel nor recommend it to others.

Fantastic 2 bedroom suite for family of 4.staff friendly- lovely views and balcony from room.-sadly pool closed in October but looked great and I’m sure beautiful in the spring/summer. Would definitely stay again

Lovely staff in a beautiful mountains area of Alicante Only issue is it’s around a 25 minute drive out of the city centre but it will cost you around 30 euro for a uber but a great hotel If you love golf this is the place for you

Just basics place

Staff welcoming, the room acceptable but inadequate for a 4 star hotel as there were mould in bathroom no bathrobe or slippers.. Had to pay the indoor pool again not good enough for a 4 star hotel.. Breakfast very repetitive.. Lovely outdoor pool, Other than that everythingelse was good

Great stay

Hotel is located in nice,quiet,safe area. Great activities for children in the swimming pool however it did seem dirty around the pool during the day- would suggest to provide more bins and also clean the pool areas during the day.. Room (suite) was spacious and clean however no locks on the bathroom sliding door. The was a small kitchenette however no plates/pans or cuttlery provided... Difficult with the parking within and around the hotel... On arrival check in took 50mins to get the keys for the room considering it was 3 customers in front of us...

The Staff were absolutely unbelievable customer service at its finest.Tea was exceptional in her manner of customer service at the check in desk . I look forward to visiting again soon your bar staff was also very amazing.

It was great very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings

Lovely swimming pool and main public areas were lovely .Incredibly rude receptionist on check in; yawning and so unfriendly; ruined our stay via first impression.The lady on departure was such a contrast (Maria), so wish we had been met by her.Rather expensive and the receptionist wanted us to give a deposit for the bath plug! Internet connectivity poor.Sadly wouldn't want to stay again.

This place is ridiculous. They built a hotel in the middle of nowhere and can only get there by car, then charge you €15 to park each day! The room thermostat was faulty and kept making an electrical buzzing every 30 seconds so we didn’t get any sleep. When I reported it, they said not to use my preferred temperature (yep!), yet it still made the issue the rest of the time. Cardboard has more flavour than ANY food, somehow even packaged sweets. We paid for an upgraded room and got a view of the carpark! The door and frame was hanging off being prised open and moved. There were horrible filler repairs that looked like an elephant applied it with their trunk. The room was tired and shabby. This isn’t a nice place to stay, maybe if your work is paying for it and free for you to stay, just don’t expect any sleep..

What I wanted was a week in the sun by a pool. The

Large hotel chain. Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast area somewhat depressing. Lovely pool, regrettably not open in March.
