Outstanding service

No parking in and around the hotel where the roads are cordoned off. The temperature inside the rooms and the dining area is very cold and can be maintained at room temperature to make the stay ckmfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Promenade Pondicherry, and I must say it was an absolutely excellent experience! The Sea View room was stunning—gorgeous decor and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. I savored a delicious breakfast in the morning, particularly enjoying the dosas that were simply delightful. Additionally, I treated myself to a massage, which was not only at a great price but also was just a great massage! Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Promenade Pondicherry for anyone looking for a beautiful getaway with fantastic service.

The room was clean but needs to be upgraded as does the bathroom. The towels were old and looked unclean though I assume they were not. Street noise was immense. The hotel could ensure people do not honk or car alarms do not go off at 3 AM. Did not think there was location value for money. Paid a lot for the hotel. Enquired on the Promenade and other hotels were half the price. Food was charged at NY rate and was sub par. Drinks were also the most expensive I have had in India. Staff is courteous but did not appreciate being woken up at 12 for laundry delivery especially since it was not mine but my sons next door. All in all I do not think I would recommend this hotel based on my experience unless it was at 60$ a night.

The first room was leaking and the water had dripped in the floor and I slipped and hurt my back, they changed my room to a comfortable room. The dining room ceiling was leaking and water dripping in my head when I was having breakfast. I don’t think I should be charged for my room. I expect a refund. If not I will have to sue for my back being hurt.

Literally across from the beach front! Very convenient stay to get to the beach and walk to White Town/ French Colony.

Overall condition is good! Access to the beach was an added attraction. Lack of parking is a handicap!

This hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach. The promenade is a nice walk. The rooms are clean and the restaurants are good. The location is a very easy walk to the attractions and sights of Pondicherry and shopping.

On the promenade lovely location friendly staff could do with some updating Extractor fan was very noisy

This hotel was great for a short stay. The hotel itself lacks a 4star luxury feeling, but it has more of a small boutique hotel feel. It's also a great location. It's a walkable distance to the boardwalk/ocean front, which was nice. At night, the area was lively and safe. We walked around and even went to a few shops then came back and had a specialty coffee beverage at the hotel restaurant. If you choose to sit outside when you dine, the view is beautiful. Also, we received SPA treatment here which I thought was FANTASTIC. I did have to wait for my treatment for a long time, but I did not prebook. I chose the coffee scrub down, and it was excellent!

Overall standard was high - the highlight though was the restaurant. Excellent food.

The Promenade is very conveniently located on the beachfront (Goubert Avenue). Many key tourist attractions like Sri Aurobindo ashram, Ganesha temple, Puducherry museum, French war memorial, old lighthouse etc. are all within walking distance. There are many eating and shopping options within short walking distance from the hotel. Taxis and auto rickshaws are easily available for slightly faraway attractions like Auroville. Service and food at the hotel is excellent and staff go out of the way to help the guests. Facility is a bit old though and it shows in the quality of fittings and furniture. This needs attention from hotel management. All in all, it was a very nice stay at The Promenade.

Over price , dirty and noisy

Location was great, everything was walking distance. Loved the stay

The room we were initially given was so bad with warped flooring and musty smell , not sure how such rooms can be offered to guests.

It was on sea front. Very beautiful The room was shabby. The bathroom was awful The floor boards were bumpy and quite unsafe for us octagenarians The room was not worth for the price we paid When we complained they offered a smaller room with no outside view. We refused We should be compensated

Excellent hotel & caring staff

Well location is excellent : however the suit was very average : The tub did not work now did the Jaguzi in the tub : food quality was average Paying 24000 per night was not value for money

Great location. Hotel is in the front of the beach and easy access to Sri Aurobindo ashram. Staff are really good and as soon as you request for something and it gets done. Welcoming guests was good. Room was not so great although they say hotel maintains heritage but hotel room requiring updating. Room facing street food at the back is quite noisy and smelly and can't keep windows open. We had few other issues for e.g. there was no locker in the room, balcony was broken and unsafe. Next day they changed our room facing sea and it was much better but because there was parade going on hence seaside view was not possible. Breakfast options were quite good. Hotel is quite pricy
