Gorgeous property! Great views of the lagoon. Beautiful room. The most comfortable bed in all of our 3 weeks of travel! Nice breakfast options. Walkable to restaurants.

Cecil and Colleen who were our hosts were so friendly and helpful, and our Premier Room's sea view from our room and private balcony was superb. Breakfasts were so enjoyable, with a good choice of cold and cooked food. Parking was also great and secure.

I have just had 5 nights at this fantastic guest house. From the welcome on the steps by Colleen and Cecil, to our leaving today, it has been exceptional in every department. The decor, space, breakfast, attention to detail and a tremendous knowledge of the area shared by Coleen. Anyone wanting to visit in this lovely area could not have a better accommodation ti stay in. 10/10 👍

We were welcomed warmly and given lots of suggestions for enjoying the area. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed in a clean modern style as were the common rooms for breakfast and lounging. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. Highly recommend

We had a fabulous stay and were made very welcome. Colleen gave us great restaurant recommendations and kindly made reservations too. All of the restaurants were excellent. Our room was very comfortable with excellent views. The lounge area was great for evening card games with friends. Cecil makes a really tasty breakfast, the eggs were super!! Thanks Cecil 😀

We had such a lovely stay at Hide Away Guest House Knysna. We felt such a warm welcome on our arrival there. Stunning room and oh that view of the lagoon is just breathtaking. And on top of all, delicious breakfast served every morning. We definitely recommend them to each and everyone x

Colleen and Cecil were always available, friendly and helpful with tips about restaurants and site-seeing. The house was built in 1940 and is opposite the Knysna lagoon, just next to the N2 Highway on the way into/out of town. The house was classily decorated but the room had air conditioning, electric blankets, espresso machine, outdoor sitting area on the veranda and views of the heads. Breakfast was nice with plunger coffee, cheeses, eggs, muesli, fruit and juice. A lovely couple interested in current events and filling us in on their part of the world.

Everything was perfect, nothing to dislike, great host, excellent recommendations of places to visit and eat/drink. Very comfortable bed, stunning views from our balcony. Nice breakfasts and good conversation with the host Colleen, wouldn't hesitate to recommend

If I need to look for a place to stay I will choose another place. The picture are elusion. No value for your money The place are old. The room smells old There is no a private balcony as the picture. No privacy at all!!!The forget to worth the the most busy road N2 it’s in a front of the room and it’s very crowded from the cars. It’s difficult to sleep. No hot weather . It’s not worth the money.!!!

I thought that the property was more secluded rather than being a short distance from the main road. The room was very pleasant as was our hostess. The area was very nice and easy walking distance from the tourist areas. As a general comment on the garden route I would not recommend it and am surprised that it is so highly reviewed. I was very disappointed.

Very nice and safe location over-viewing the bay. Hosts are very friendly with a lot of good hints for nearby restaurants and possible activities. Thank you for the great time - Christoph

Thank you Coleen & Cecil for 2 great nights at your establishment. We were booked for 1 night but ended up back for a second night (what happened in Knysna stays in Knysna - lol). We were greeted by Coleen with wine, tea or coffee upon our arrival. Our rooms were very spacious, clean, tidy and more than expected. Breakfast was a variety and treat prepared by Cecil and served by Coleen. The view from the balcony was beautiful. There were some beautiful one of a kind furniture pieces in the home. Coleen was a wealth of knowledge and very helpful assisting with our plans. We would definitely visit again and also recommend this location. Thanks Coleen, Cecil and staff. Doug , Maureen, Owen

We had a very friendly welcome at this lovely guest house which has fantastic views across the Knysna lagoon. Colleen gave us excellent advice on where to eat and things to do around Knysna and the breakfasts were just the ticket!
