Vila Angatu has lowered their quality terribly. Food was horrible. Big disappointment!

The hotel has an impressive entrance, a big, winding pool, and access to one of the best beaches in Santo Andre, so it appears high-end, but it's actually more like a 2–star, large volume, all-inclusive family-style resort. The interiors are not high-end, the rooms are austere and very sparsely decorated - no chairs, no sofas, no desk, no luggage stands, the floors are tiled with large, institutional-style glossy white tiles, the bathroom tiles are painted over, and the fixtures are old and very basic. Devoid of charm and character. No channels were available on the TV in my room, and the WiFi was choppy. One afternoon, the power went out for several hours, which happens, but they should have offered some type of compensation to the guests, a free drink or something. That is one of the differences between 4–5-star service and 2-star service. As far as the service, it was bare-bones. The front desk staff were aloof, generally not personable, and at times seemed (oddly) distrustful. Some of the waiters were very friendly and efficient, but most of the wait staff appeared overwhelmed and were not very attentive. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good enough, with several options, but the dining rooms are large, and brightly lit, which made me feel as if I were eating at a high-school cafeteria. I do not recommend the hotel for solo or couples.

I have visited Brazil on several previous occasions. This was easily one the nicest facilities that I have ever stayed anywhere, Brazil or any other country. My only complaints are not the fault of the hotel or the staff, which were excellent. Beautiful hotel, beautiful pool, beautiful beach area, excellent accommodations Number one, the hotel is located MUCH FURTHER to the north from the main areas of Porto Seguro than I had realized. As a result, you are required to obtain a taxi for a long and expensive ride into the city, which also include a ferry ride which adds an additional 30 minutes plus. You also have limited local options for dining away from the hotel unless you hire a taxi, nothing is within walking distance away from the hotel. Had I realized this, I would not have booked here, in spite of how nice the facility is. Number two, we were eaten alive at night by mosquitos. This is not the fault of the hotel, but this is a consideration to anyone considering a vacation here. I hate to sound negative about this hotel, because it is truly a first class facility.

Equipe super atenciosa e gentil. As acomodações são amplas, bem confortáveis e limpas. Excelente café da manhã e jantar. Piscinas e sauna sempre limpas e bem cuidadas.

Passei 6 dias maravilhosos no Vila Angatu.
