Older property with narrow halls and stairs, well maintained, very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again.

Amazing hotel with excellent customer service, very attentive, and great for parking and dog friendly.

This is a great place to stay and steeped in history. We also ate here which was convenient and good value. Thus is dog friendly allowing us to eat both dinner and breakfast with dog present. I was able to charge my EV with ease while parking in a secure car park.

Was a really beautiful old building, such lovely staff and very yummy food.

Was there for four nights but never had my room cleaned, supplies replenished. Was not asked how my stay was at any time. Breakfast was good.

Room and hotel including facilities excellent. Stayed in feature room which was lovely and airy large and comfortable. Only complaint was no drawers or pegs

Second time staying at The George. Confusion at check in we had booked a pet friendly room which the hotel had no record of. I did have the emails to confirm this but the hotel managed to find a pet friendly room, not sure what would have happened if there wasn’t one available! Nice staff and very nice well catered for breakfast and a very pet friendly hotel which is important to us.

Ideal place for a relaxed stay. Food excellent

The hotel is older but the parking was good at the back of the hotel and the location was excellent

The hotel was better than the last time we stayed approximately 3 years ago, breakfast was a great improvement.

Staff, on reception, restaurant and breakfasts areas excellent

The staff were helpful the food was poor and very expensive ( pay extra for cappuccino at breakfast) .Buffet breakfast very poor worthy of the most basic chain travel hotels . Hotel took me back 30 years to the early 90’s
