Disappointed with how the hotel handled a fire alarm fault at 1am. There was no information offered by staff when guests assembled at reception. Staff seemed fo be scrambling. Guests making noise and playing loud music in room next to ours and don’t feel this was handled well either. At breakfast the next morning I overheard a guest asking for information in relation to needed a doctor and floor manager did not seem to be aware of options available in the vicinity (I was from the area so could advise of a walk in GP service across from hospital) . Staff need to be better briefed in handling such situations.

Our check-in was excellent with Bradley at the desk. Breakfast was very pleasant & fresh. The room was well appointed with a record player!

The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The restaurant was very good. The breakfast was nice. The Staff were helpful. The only issue was they had beer keg exchange below our room in the wee hours of the morning that work is up.

This is a very nice hotel, with very generous sized rooms and comfortable beds. It is a little bit dated. It did not have, for example, USB ports for charging your devices, and the shower was a little bit odd. Otherwise the amenities were very nice. The bar and restaurant were excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. They were not cheap, but were decent value.

My daughter and I travel quite a bit. This was a pleasant stay. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of room and the bathroom was top notch. Throw the amenities, seaweed bath, and it was all ver the top. Definitely recommend!!

The hotel lobby and bar were interesting and fun. Live music each night. The parking was easy and included. The rooms were musty with very little air flow even with the window open. The bathroom fan did not work to take humidity out after a shower.

Room had been "cleaned" but had human hairs still clearly visible on beds and dirt & dust on head-board, chairs, floor, bathroom. No food available on return from sightseeing at 9pm - not even room service. Massage reserved had been "forgotten"... just didn't bother to correctly note reservation.... Hotel staff in loud conversation outside my room late at night preventing sleep. I had stayed at this hotel previously and was content to overlook certain shortcomings - but no more. Shame on The Twelve.

This hotel was a luxury hotel with great immunities

Checked-in to a tired-looking lobby. Bags and trolleys everywhere, unattended. Requested dinner at WEST - closed. Room had been "cleaned" but had human hairs still clearly visible on beds and blatant clumps of dirt and dust on head-board, chairs, floor, bathroom. Assured evening meal/room service would satisfy - when eventually returned from sightseeing - CLOSED! No food available, even on room service. Bathroom had minimal towel / accessory provision. Had reserved a massage from the Spa which had been "forgotten"... when called next morning to ask "Where was treatment or where should we go?" was met with absolute ignorance and no useful apology or excuse - just didn't bother to correctly note reservation.... Hotel staff (male receptionist and female massage therapist) had spent previous night banging in and out of doors by my room in loud conversation about using a shower and leaving a key somewhere later that night - complete lack of soundproofing meant that all their activities were very audible and kept residents from sleeping if nearby... Basically this was an absolute horror show. I had stayed at this hotel previously and was content to overlook certain shortcomings - but no more. Boutique hotel my foot... it is a tired little place that needs a good overhaul in principles of service and hygiene and standards of hotel facilities appropriate to prices charged. Shame on The Twelve.
