A bit of a nightmare at Breakfast, so many people there that no seats and food was running out, but staff were great trying to sort out extra seating + back and forth to the kitchen, a coach load of people turn up earlier than the time slot they gave, so that did not help out. Staff were great said will sort it out and for the next few days of stay, breakfast when we were there, plenty of tables cleaned and food ready to go. Also had a Prom night on Tuesday and Wednesday night. We tried to park up to the hotel on Wednesday night and it toke us over 30 mins sitting in traffic heading towards the hotel, but when we did get on the long drive to the hotel, we ask one of the staff and there got us straight down to the car park.

Great for business and golf

First of all the hotel was in a lovely setting, very peaceful but close to city centre. Swimming pool/spa was very good. The room was ok bed was ok but nice touch was having a fridge. Unfortunately the bad points… on arrival we was told that we would not receive house keeping on every day (we were staying for 3 nights) to be honest this was ok with us as we make our own bed and re use our towels. However we did expect some to come into the room at some point in the 3 days to at least empty the bins or re stock the tea/coffee. Housekeeping never once came into the room. Also they only give you one pillow each so had to go to reception to ask for more. Finally the day before we were due to leave, we had an unexpected guest open our door and enter our room. They quickly apologised and walked out. We then noticed that our own key card was not working. I headed down to reception who apologised and advised that our room had incorrectly been re-allocated to another guest in error. Overall the hotel was nice, just a few things to improve on

I have raised a complaint because I was not told there was a prom taking place and the music was very loud until gone midnight. All reception could do was apologise no other options were offered. My complaint was more of a suggestion that customers are warned before they arrive that there are events and noise disruption at the hotel so that they can make a choice whether they wish to cancel or stay and accept the disruption..

The stay was okay, the room was really warm, there were spiders and the fans were not working at all.

Really nice hotel. Good pool with loungers. Food was ok, just had burgers. Room was nice.

A short overnight stay. The room was comfortable & the tea & biscuits were appreciated. The service in the bar was good & the staff member friendly. Overall a good stay.

Great place to stay. Have everything you need from Golf (if your into it), Spa, Pool and a Bar. Rooms are sizeable (some bigger than others) Downside - Too many narrow stairs but this can’t be avoided as it’s an old building. Just one to be aware of.

The property was well located and clean. There was always a queue at reception so I never had chance to report the cold tap not working in my room when I checked out.

Well kept hotel, all clean. No air con in room or shaving mirror . Bed was very comfortable with pretty view on to golf course.

Had a lovely stay. Great breakfast.

2 night stay very comfortable easy for park ride 5 minute walk easy access to the coast

Beautiful place pool amazing and golf good to . Only complaint was the cashed up the bar at 10.30 Saturday night even though had over 50 people wanting a drink which got resolved and then Saturday when we wanted food before going out there was only 3 penine options in the golf club and the hotel had nothing . No bottled water either just a water canister and glasses . Def would stay again but would make sure we got water and food in reserve ! As not near anything either .

The hotel needs a good clean and staff that actually want to be there and assist customers. Couldn't eat on the night we arrived, 8.30 was too late to take another customer into the restaurant. Breakfast was 'help yourself' which consisted of overflowing rubbish, dirty tables and staff that didn't speak. Such a shame as some parts of the hotel are lovely, but it's dated and dirty in places and the lack of interest from the staff was disappointing.
