After my stay, I’m quite annoyed by all the negative reviews. My experience was great, room was cute and spacious , location is perfect, staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet is varied and tasty. On the first day the bathroom smelled like sewage (which can happen because this is AN ISLAND) but I guess someone might have reported it because it was fixed the next day. All to say, pay no mind about bad reviews, this is a great place to stay in Holbox. People complaining about the staff and high food prices are most likely the arrogant ones that forget that staff are people and dont know what offering a smile is, the island is full of restaurants and bars, you dont like the drinks at the hotel? You have an infinite list to choose from. 10/10

The gardens were lush and the beachfront palapas were nice. The beach was amazing. The spiral stairs to the unit were tricky and narrow. Some staff were very friendly while younger bar staff seemed bothered by requests. The internet strength was very inconsistent. The breakfast was just okay. The Americano coffee was poor. I was glad I did not get the all-inclusive food option. Tiny plastic cups for your drinks. I wasn’t able to use either pool as there were never any empty chairs as there only a few there. It was decent enough for the significantly reduced rate. Communication was difficult at times due to language issues.

The property is completely beautiful. The staff were exceptional. I stayed in one of the larger villas very near the beach. Highly recommend this place and Isla Holbox.

The room was very clean, staff was friendly, garden and pool well kept. The beach bar is not exactly at the beach, so service at the beach could be improved. There was a waiter taking orders there, but often he wasn’t available. Beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, and we felt very safe. Special shout out for the animals living at the property. Lizards, birds, racoons (not the trashy ones) and dogs.

The towel in my room had stains on them and so did my pillow case. The cups weren’t properly washed, and I had to wipe before use. The food was terrible—the worst food I’ve even had at an all-inclusive. Their Mexican was better than the rest, but I’ve had way better in the states. Staff is kind.

We loved our casita stay at paraiso! Super fun layout and design worked great for us with our daughter. We each had our own space and bathroom. Loved the super firm beds and slept so great. The pools were great and beach access was perfect. We’ll be back!

Really pleased with the value for money at this property. For us, the location was perfect; not too far from the town (10 min walk along the beach) but away from the hustle and bustle. The room was large and clean, comfortable beds, looked to be newly renovated. The breakfast was as expected for a buffet. The service at breakfast was fine, but I often arrived at a busy time and the staff seemed to struggle to keep up with re-setting the tables. I often had to grab my own silverware or spoon to stir my coffee. The hotel grounds were super clean and well maintained, beautiful gardens, clean beach. We had an extremely enjoyable stay here.

There is no beach view as such. But a nice property with a lot of green, palm trees and hammocks.

Great place to stay, great beach, go for the just breakfast plan.

El hotel muy agradable y sobre todo uno se siente que conecta con la naturaleza, el staff muy amable siempre ,con respecto al servicio del bar te ofrecen bebidas desde la playa mismo sin tener que levantarse uno mismo y la playa fue lo que más nos gustó una vista paradisíaca!! Tal vez lo que me gustaría haber disfrutado sería cómo algún entretenimiento(Show) para darle al lugar un 10 de 10, pero la verdad recomiendo el lugar a cualquiera que me pregunte.

Clean room, amazing staff, wel served bar! A magical place to rest out! I’d recommend it to everyone!

Comfortable beds, quiet AC

The breakfast was excellent along with the dining staff. All of this, plus being located on a gorgeous beach—the best stretch of beach on the island. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Villas Paraiso. Topnotch throughout!!

Very clean room. Staff was amazing and friendly

We loved our stay at the Villas. The Villa we were in had three different units which appeared to be typical of the other villas too. It was in a jungle-type setting with beautiful tropical plants, and even iguanas. My only caveat, we were in a unit on the third floor. The stairs up to the unit were winding, like climbing a lighthouse. We are in our 70’s and were able to do it, but I could certainly see where it would be very difficult for “older” folks or dangerous for children. So, be careful what you book. We didn’t know that was what we were going to get. Our unit didn’t have any type of balcony either which I missed. But it looked recently decorated and was clean and lovely. The beach was wonderful with plenty of lounge chairs for everyone.

The staff was very helpful and were attentive to any requests. The room was beautiful and spotlessly cleaned every day. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast daily and there was always a good variety of options including made to order eggs and Mexican specialties. The grounds and the beach club are amazing and the location allows for an easy walk to the centre of town. Highly recommend!

Just add towel rack in the rooms. Excellent hotel otherwise!
