My car was caked!

I booked a week at this motel after having surgery in San Diego. I requested a first floor room and let the hotel know I would arrive around 8pm as I was still at the hospital at 3pm checkin time and my daughter was driving me down from San Diego to el centro to be closer to her while I recuperated. There were no other cars in the lot when we arrived. I went to check in and the clerk was on the phone speaking to family or friend and ignored me until a second person walked in. He handed me a key for a 2nd floor room and I explained I had just had (abdominal) surgery and was not supposed to climb . He said that was the only room at that rate I had paid. My daughter carries my luggage up the 2 flights of stairs and when we entered the room the air conditioner had not been turned on. I knew I wasn’t going to sleep that night taste the daytime temps are in the low hundreds already and the room was laid out strangely. It was late so I decided to make the best of it. I went to y to I the bathroom and when I came back out noticed what looked like plastic(candy wrapper?) trash. I picked it up and noticed it was actually two small knotted baggies, one had been opened. My daughter said”wash your hands NOW”. I called down and asked if I could be moved as there was a suspicious powder in my room. The clerk acted like he didn’t understand then said I would have to go to the lobby to get a new room key. I told my daughter I didn’t feel safe there and I wanted to leave.

Convient location

No hot water, no additional towels or blankets when requested at front desk. Door didn’t close completely wind dirt blowing in. DOOR LOCK DIDNT WORK, BECAUSE IT IS MISSING

Great open place to stay. Not a fan of this type of hotel, but i was satisfied with this one.

Television reception is bad.

This was the BEST DAYS INN that I've stayed in for years. I was at this hotel years ago. Clearly they put a lot of money into an upgrade. In checking in at night there was a virtual clerk on the screen who talked directly to me and documents were shown on the screen and the room card was issued by the machine. GREAT internet. GREAT bed. Sparkling clean room. And the breakfast included eggs and bacon (plus other choices)> PLUS I'm a tea "snob" and they offered some really good brands of tea. I DEFINTELY would stay here and and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Air conditioning unit was quite noisy.

I made a reservation for my employee. Adalberto Guzman on Wednesday, The first night of his stay. It was paid with my credit card. When Adalberto arrived at the hotel, he was told it wasn't paid for and they demanded that he pay for the room in cash. However, the charge already came off my credit card and it was paid for When I contacted the staff, they denied that they had been paid, and would not refund the money They will be getting terrible review on Yelp and Google.They are crooks, and I highly recommend no one stays there as they steal your money.

Great, place. Very quiet.

This place needs an upgrade for sure. Bathroom was dirty. The door security lock was broken, floors were dirty. No cups. A lot of homeless in the parking lot. Overall a bad experience.
