great place, the area where the hotel is. The best part of it is the indoor pool. My son loved it so much!

The parking garage was tight and limited, hotel was not well maintained could see lot of wear and tear. Needs to be updated

Property was in a great location and well-appointed. Hotel charged my credit card a higher amount than is on my folio.

This is an older hotel in need of renovation. We routinely stayed here frequently 20 to 30 years ago, and it was truly a five star experience. At that time, the lounge was called Gerard’s, and was open noon to midnight. Not anymore. Now opens at 6pm. First room that they assigned us was terrible, dingy, somewhat dirty and no central air. They had a stand alone AC unit off to the side of the living room that was duct taped together. Anyway, we complained and we got a second better suite. Front office staff were average, not a lot of smiles. Restaurant staff awesome, especially the taller young blonde woman who went out of her way to give us great service (my wife and I). Doormen at hotel entrance very good as well. Prices somewhat high, but it is Vancouver! Location is excellent, you can walk pretty much everywhere downtown. Parking is a little tight, so don’t bring a pickup truck here! I would still recommend the hotel, just don’t expect a five star experience and suite.

The staff, room (2 bedroom suite) and location were perfect for our vacation. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at The Sutton was absolutely amazing. It was perfect for our growing family! The two-bedroom suite made everything so much easier and gave us the peace and space we needed. The layout was spacious with lots of storage—ideal for a family stay. The staff were outstanding—so kind, helpful, and attentive. And the food? A solid 10 out of 10! Every meal was delicious, and the service was top-notch. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again. I highly recommend The Sutton to anyone—especially families looking for comfort, space, and exceptional service.

Well-kept hotel in excellent location. Two-bedroom suite in the residence with sofa bed was perfect for our family of six. Very clean. Lovely staff who allowed us to use pool while waiting for room to be available.

On our two week trip this was the most comfortable stay. Our suite had a very interesting layout but we really loved it.

There is no lock in the room door. First day we managed , second day we called room service evening only and some one visited but he was not able to fix the lock, general room service is very good, pool is good but not much kids friendly.

Room included kitchen, dining room, living area, bedroom and bathroom. All very spacious with the exception of the bathroom, which was small. Recommend!

Great service, the suite was lovely, very comfortable, perfect for my friend's bachelorette staycation

The room was dirty when we arrived. It smelled like fish and there were dirty dishes in the cupboard. When house keeping followed up they said they’d come back and deodorize the room when we went for our medical appt and they never returned. It was disgusted. Wall paper peeling off walls. We paid $700 for one night with parking and it absolutely was not worth it. I travelled with my baby and couldn’t let him on the floor or furniture knowing how filthy and smelly it was. We had to get a playpen to let him play on there when not holding him.

Father and Daughter trip, stayed in a one bedroom suite which was perfect. Pullout sofa was comfortable. Having a full kitchen was wonderful, took advantage and cooked some meals. Parking was very easy, however after staying 5 nights whenever e checked out we were informed that due to arriving 1 hour early there was an additional hour charge for parking. Found that to be a little ridiculous considering parking is $50 a day and it wasn’t mentioned at time of check in. $10 is $10, it’s more the principal of not being told in advance. Bellmen at the front door were wonderful, very helpful. Housekeeping was great, front staff were great. Location was perfect!

We arrived at 10:00 AM off a cruise and our 2 bedroom suite was ready and they let us check in! So helpful. Great location, great staff. We were extremely pleased.

The front desk staff were not very friendly and only offered one key card (there were 5 of us) so we have to ask for more. The pool could be a little cleaner and the ceiling in the room looked like there might have been a leak. But we had a great stay anyway, the room was spacious and quiet and the deck was nice.
