Staff were excellent. Check in smooth. A problem with the AC in the room not working was delt with very promptly. Comfortable room and very close to the main bus route.

Friendly, welcoming staff. A comfortable stay, although the apartment could use some plates, cutlery etc. A lovely pool and convenient bar, restaurant. A bit out of town but buses are regular.

We are regular guests at this hotel (previously known as Porto Azzurro aparthotel), however, on our most recent stay in July 2025, since the "refurbishment" in March, we can confirm that the place has deteriorated. It was never anything fancy, but it used to be a nice, quiet, relaxing place to stay. Not anymore! The only real improvement is the reception desk but that's the least important aspect of a stay. We were allocated room 410 with 'sea view'. It was well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, balcony. The room itself is nothing special. The air conditioning is old and omits a foul smell, god knows what bacteria is lurking inside the unit. Regarding room cleaning, I'm not sure it was cleaned during the 8 nights we were there. The towels were changed daily, however, they are very small. The biggest disappointment is the pool area. From morning until night there is loud AI music blasting from the speakers around the pool. I don't know what kind of vibe they're trying to create but it's certainly not a good one. Also the sun loungers are uncomfortable and all cramped together under big umbrellas which means the whole area is shaded. That defeats the object of being on holiday in Malta when one comes for the sun. Our biggest gripe was when the pool / bar attendant asked everybody to move from the sunny side of the pool deck to the shady side when it got to 6pm so that they could set up tables and chairs for the evening diners. We are reluctant to return for these reasons

Loved our stay at Xemxija Hotel. Had a self contained apartment. Staff were lovely and everything you need around or a short bus journey.

The location is great with the bus stops, view, convenient store, and quick food options like eeetwell! The staff was kind & hotel was also fine. The room I had was okay, no view, but everything functioned. I didn't check out the pool or their meal options, but basic English breakfast was offered for €10. They also allowed baggage storage. It was good for my 1 night stay.

Great place to stay as a solo traveler peaceful plenty of sun beds lovely pool clean good sized room with a little balcony. Special thanks to Jacob for putting sun lotion on my back (solo traveler) and just a genuine polite young man an absolute asset to your hotel and to Stephan on reception for your kindness on my last evening and as I had booked early I had complimentary breakfast I’ve had a great stay!

An enjoyable stay. Property recently renovated. Quite a nice pool area too.. Recommended.

Relaxing One-Night Stay We stayed at Xemxija Bay Hotel for one night and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely pool view, which made it feel even more relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The hotel is in a peaceful area but still close to local restaurants and scenic walks. A great spot for a short getaway—would happily return!

My only disappointment was booked a room with balcony and pool view but got a room with a back alley view. On arrival showed my booking to the guy on reception and he said no room available!!

Bokade ett rum med havsutsikt och balkong, fick först ett extremt slitet rum utan balkong. Dagen efter så fick jag ett bättre rum med balkong. Hade de inte fixat ett nytt rum så hade jag troligen flyttat. Det första rummet var deppigt. Frukost okej och personal var trevlig.

Belle piscine et bien placé. Chambre qui aurait bien besoin d 1 peu de renovation...et l armoire qui masque 1 partie de la vue mer on pourrait s en passer. Personnel cordial et efficace.

Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück Zimmer und Wasserqualitätsind unserer Meinung sehr schlecht. Zimmer absolut schlecht renoviert! Da kommt kein wohlfühlfaktor auf.Zum Frühstück nur Toast und harte Brötchen. Pool so trüb das man seine Füße nicht sehen kann und die liegen sind mit schimmel versehen. Aussenansicht der Hotelanlage auch nicht besonders einladend. Wir können die Bewertung auf der Seite von Expedia absolut nicht nachvollziehen! Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Veldig bra hotell med god pris og plassering. Eneste ting som burde de endre er frokost… hver dag lager de det samme meny. Service og ansatt var veldig bra, takk ! :)

Lors de notre séjour, nous avons rencontré un désagrément à cause de la présence de bêtes dans la chambre. Heureusement, un employé très professionnel a su gérer la situation rapidement en nous proposant un changement de chambre. Celle-ci était globalement propre, bien que la cuisine laissait à désirer : les couverts et les casseroles étaient sales. Autre point négatif, le bruit environnant était particulièrement dérangeant. Les gens autour étaient très bruyants, sans aucun respect : cris, coups, objets lancés… Malgré cela, nous avons tout de même passé un bon séjour dans l’ensemble.

Très belle piscine et chambre très spacieuse !
