Run down, staff is not friendly if you don't speak French, no ice in the hotel??? Even at the bar when I asked. Didn't let us upgrade to a better room and even though they have free parking we had to park on the street due to the lot being full

Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff, convenient for local beaches and to walk around Granville. Parking garage is very tight and difficult to maneuver there is a second choice for parking outside of the garage.

Heating in room did not work but staff changed our room. Recently redecorated, very clean. Next to the sea, very nice here

Excellent hotel

We only stayed for one night after 8 days elsewhere , it proved to be the most comfortable and luxurious of the holiday. I would certainly stay there again.

Good location, clean room, friendly staff

This was my second stay at this hotel. The hotel has been renovated and modernized since my first stay (2 years earlier) with the Christian Dior theme everywhere. Breakfast is pretty good. The bar is fine, but the service is rather slow if you want beer. The refrigerator seems to be a good walk down the hall to retrieve the Heineken mini keg every time you want a beer. My only major complaint with this facility is that there are no irons/boards in the room. The only iron is a communal one located in the housekeeping laundry room. I am almost certain that it is the same exact iron from 2 years prior because of the "burn" mark directly on the center of the soleplate that I recognized from back then. I'm not sure Christian Dior would vouch for this. Parking is underground and is a two level nightmare with tight turns and ridiculously small parking spaces. Anything larger than a Smart car or Mini Cooper may have issues, but then again, this is Europe.

We stayed in a duplex room for 2 nights. The room was very clean and spacious and the balcony had a sea view. The hotel is 2 mins from the beach and about 5 mins from the town. When we arrived the hotel parking was full but we were able to find free street parking on the street directly opposite the hotel.

We spent 3 days at the Mercure, great location friendly staff and perfect base to visit the surrounding countryside.

My two floor room was great for my wife and myself (we were upstairs) and my daughter who had the fold out sofa.. The rooms were modern, clean, and had good light (upstairs had a skylight) and a nice view. from the downstairs balcony. The garage is a challenge for anything other than a small car. It is possible to park in one of the stalls but requires great skill, nerves of steel, and a lot of manipulation. I don't know how they could fix it. If you don't like the anxiety, come with a smaller car.
