Very welcoming..

Excellent value for money. Only stayed one night. The staff were so very helpful and welcoming

Tricky finding the door to the reception which is round the back of the building behind the car park. Friendly chatty hotel staff, happy to help with breakfast choices and to suggest walks in the area. Hotel is close to the The Malls for shopping and The Anvil Theatre, very close to the train station.

We stayed for five nights as visiting family. Very spacious room. Yes the room needs a lick of paint. But clean and lovely big towels. What sells the hotel is that it has really helpful , friendly staff. Very close to town with heaps of shops and restaurants. Also free car park. It has a lovely on-site bar. Only downside no air conditioning and although we had a fan , it was a very hot week for U.K.

From entering the Hotel the staff could not do enough for us. Our room was spacious and clean. Every time we entered reception we were always greeted with a smile asked if everything was ok for us. Breakfast was well worth the money. The hotel is very central to the town a 5 min walk. Having stayed in several hotels this is now our number one. We cant wait to return.

I found the staff very friendly and the room had every thing I would expect from a good hotel room. The breakfast was good and there food was very well cooked. The only niggle is trying to get to the main street.

Loved the red lion suite we stayed and along with full english included.very good value. Staff very attentive and couldnt do more Will be coming back again. So convenient for shopping, entertainment and lots of choices for eating out. If you dont choose to eat in

Mattress poor quality

Good location as we needed a B & B near the railway station and The Anvil. Room quiet and near the end of a corridor.
