It’s decent for a budget hotel. Stayed at the hotel for a night as was visiting a friend who lives at Yamaguchi and this property is a stone’s throw away from Shin-Yamaguchi. Loved that there’s a decent spread for breakfast (free with booking). The aircon in the room was very dusty and some mould in the toilet but as mentioned, decent for a budget hotel!

I 've stayed here before and gave it a perfect 10the last time. This time it did not live up to my expectations. We love the hotel so much that I "wished" to extend it another 3 days. So in the original booking I was upgraded to a nicer room. Just because I "added an additional 3 days to my booking, they said the room was no longer available. I was willing to stay in my original upgraded room for the original booking period, and transfer over to the other room on the other days, but was told it was not possible. Also 2 e mails on seperate occasions have still gone unanswered to this day. The room we stayed in this time was not as well maintained as our first time. The proximity to the shinkansen station is fabulous as well as the free breakfest in the morning. I guess the bar was set to high from my first stay, which resulted in me not being being impressed this time.

The service was very good, but the pillows were thin and hard to sleep on.

If you’re staying near shin yamaguchi, this is the hotel for you. Now I understand why it receives so much complements. First and foremost is the location. About 3 minute walk once you exit the station. Exit station, cross street, bam ! You’re there ! Room is more spacious than typical Japanese hotel. Property is well maintained and clean. The free breakfast sealed the deal. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much for breakfast. To my surprise, it had more options than I expected. It had a good choice of Japanese as well as western dishes. If in the yamaguchi area again, I will definitely come back.

This hotel surpassed all my expectations. At only $69 a night, i honestly wasnt expecting much from this hotel. But it surprised me! It is just a 2mins walk away from Shin-Yamaguchi station, has lots of eateries and a convenience store nearby, very very friendly and cheerful staff, super clean and comfy room! The bed was exceptionally huge for a single room and room is spacious too. Even the free breakfast was yummy! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and wished i had more time here.

Clean & functional business hotel, no knobs, bell or whistles but definitely does exactly as expected. Very convenient for the station, just 50 m from exit.

Nice modern hotel, just opposite JR Yamaguchi station. Bed is comfortable but pillow very thin. Friendly very staff, simple breakfast but adequate. But room is terribly small & very cramped for 2 persons (Double Room). Can't even walk thru the small space unless one giving way to other. Just opening one luggage alone obstruct walking space. Room size barely big enough for one person to be comfortable. The location is very quiet esp at night. Difficult to find dining options at night ( very ilmited poor options.

Hotel rooms were typical small rooms in Japan. Good price. Hotel very close to train station. Not much to do in neighborhood. Used hotel as base for day trips to cities in Yamaguchi prefecture and Kyushu.

Offer the maximum convenience, facilities, cleanliness, service for the price. Good qualities and taste of the free breakfast. Staff are ready to answer diverse questions regarding with the Yamaguchi City.

Just stopped for a night on our way to another location. The hotel is very convenient to the station and the breakfast is OUTSTANDING. The room is typical for a Japanese business hotel -- very small, but clean and well-appointed. The neighborhood is not much. I suspect this is the less interesting side of the station, but we only needed a place to spend the night, so it was fine.

My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Hotel for five nights and we loved our stay there. It is extremely close, just a minute or two walk, to Shin-Yamaguchi train station. They offer a free breakfast that has a wide variety of both Japanese and Western foods. The staff was very nice and our rooms were always clean and it was very comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Comfort Hotel again when visiting Yamaguchi.
